For some reason he isn't clicking in the offense.
Whether it's routes, QB, lost some talent, etc, I don't know.
But to me it was clear they could of used some love at WR at the TDL if something popped up

Gallup is washed, Tolbert improved but IMO is still depth and Cooks and Dak don't have a connection.

One thing if Dallas had a legit two headed TE duo, but they don't.

I said that prior to LAST season.
Yes, it was worse last season. Not as bad as the 2019 debacle but bad. This year, I had some optimism with Cooks coming in and Gallup a year away from the injury, but they and Tolbert are clearly not the answer.

Speed guys are a waste here. Dak has a middling to lower tier arm. Look at the few balls he has thrown 40+ yards. He has to get his whole body into those throws.

I tend to believe it's two things going on with WR Cooks as why he is continues to be as a non-impact factor:

1) Coach scheme
2) Dak non-faith/ non rapport with Cooks

- Cooks has long been one of the more reputed speed WRs in the NFL, and It's not like Cooks is a poor route guy:
he's actually underrated in that area.

- But I really get the vibe that Dak is not even bothered to look his way. He's looking him off
and not having the rapport
This is a vet guy that had rapport with HOF QBs like Brady and Brees, .. and has had 1,000 yrd seasons with
backup and scrub QBs .... but not with Dak ?

We never seem to take deep shots downfield with Cooks - but notice how Philly does with Brown/Devontae
And in past Dak was reputed as one of the better deep shot passers in the NFL ... but not this year.
And definitely not with Brandin Cooks

Stay Tuned. !!
Same thing happened to Amari Cooper.

The Cowboys traded Cooper and his costly contract to the Cleveland Browns for two fifth-round picks and a swap of sixth-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. The picks resulted in offensive lineman Matt Waletzko and linebacker Devin Harper for Dallas, with Cleveland taking wide receiver Mike Woods.

It's a shame that we kept Gallop and traded Amari Cooper.

The Cowboys are totally wasting this guy! He was brought here to go deep and the Cowboys haven't gone deep to him one time so other than that he's "just out there".

Yes, we miss the 10 targets and 7 receptions he had for us in 3 games last year.
Where Hilton averaged 17.9 yards per reception. At least he was productive when targeted. Totally the opposite with our current receiving crew (besides CeeDee).

Cook has never really done anything anywhere he has been. Not sure why he keeps getting all these big contracts.
