But TY would do more for us than JJ will for the egirls. TY was not bad for us last year and would be better than what is out there now not named CD and saw him dropping passes.
Based on what ? Hilton is not even in the NFL.

- Hilton stood out in some spots last year and occasions because Gallup was still struggling post ACL and
Tolbert was a severely lost rookie,.. and even after injury- returning, FA pickup James Washington
was utterly horrible.

- And there is no way I am taking snaps and reps from a promising upcomer like Tolbert for sake for
an aging, retired vet guy to come midseason.

Sounds like just your wishful thinking at stake.

Cooks can get 1000 yards a season from multiple teams. From multiple QB's. He can run any pattern.

He comes to the Cowboys and now some think he is the problem???
I don't know if he is the problem or not...it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it's Dak's fault. But he is a waste of space on the field currently; that I do know.

Gallup is still struggling and Tolbert still learning the ropes and Cooks there is an APB on him. We will just agree to disagree, that’s why this is a board. I’m out.

He can play both. I'm not seeing 4.3 on the field, though. He's lost a bit of a step compared with his youth. There's also the guy throwing and the playcalling. So I'm not saying it's him. But he's most effective in the slot and Ceedee is getting a lot of those opportunities.
The problem is not his 4.3 speed.
The problems seems like a combination of coaching and QB.
You don't hear about a speed receiver without a major injury just dropping off this badly after just one year.

- Though we are now seeing the ball and targets go to Lamb (especially after he complained) and TE
and even Gallup and Tolbert, ...and even Turpin - but yet Cooks is clearly being phased out Instead of using
Turpin on jet sweeps, why did we only use Cooks on such a play just once ?

- Poor Cooks may have been too quick on demanding his trade from Houston, before QB rookie
sensation CJ Stroud arrived on the scene.

Seriously....I said 3-4 weeks ago that Lamb, Tolbert/Turpin, and Brooks should be the starters....how could Brooks be ANY more insignificant than Cooks is???
Seriously, we had 376 yards passing today.

So Dak was running left outside the pocket. Which way was Cooks running?
Cooks was on the same side of the field as Tolbert. He was literally running a route to the end zone straight in front of where Dak rolled out to his left and got away from the pressure. For some reason Dak decided to attempt an almost impossible throw/comp in the back corner of the end zone to Tolbert who was well covered and on the same side of the field was Cooks open in the front of the end zone.

Hmm, I will have to rewatch that part of the game.

Go to the very end last few seconds of the game. Cooks was being covered by a LBer and he beat him but Dak already decided to go to the back corner.
That might be the difference. If Dak was under duress and had to make a decision to who to throw, maybe Cooks was breaking open too late?

He’s not the problem, this team is the problem and it all starts with Jerrah…

Dak is not a top 10 QB
Pollard is not a #1 RB
Cooks is not used
Gallup is 50/50 wether he catches a ball
Steele is pure garbage

Need I go on???

But Jerrah states his team needs no help as they are good as they are?
So where is the problem?

Next week they will beat up on the Giants and all will be well in Jerrahs world again.

I created a thread asking why don't we see if T.Y. Hilton is still interesting in coming back, because this receiving crew (besides CeeDee) are seriously lacking and not helping at all. Our Offense needs help.
Yes, we miss the 10 targets and 7 receptions he had for us in 3 games last year.

I never imagined we'd be sitting here at Week 9 and Cooks would be averaging a little over 20 yards a game. We're not even attempting to hit him downfield. Seems like the coaches have no idea how to effectively involve him into the game plan.

Cooks is not the problem. Dak has 2 guys he looks for and he ain't one of them.

Gallup/Tolbert targeted 8 times. Cooks targeted only twice. Seems to be the theme every week.

weirdly, they had him bracketed or doubled much of the game.
