Jalen Hurts has gone toe to toe in the SB TWICE and has outplayed Mahomes twice. He's not going into those games thinking "Oh shucks how am I gonna compete? I'm inferior to Mahomes".....I get you fans engage in this type of banter and you may go into thinking you are inferior to the next man but there's no way you can expect players to think his. They are suppose to think they are the best player on that field and if they don't I don't want them on my team.

Richard Sherman talked more crap than anyone. Flat out said he was the best cornerback in the league. People laughed at him for it. He was never as good as Nnamdi or Revis but he for sure got the hardware they didn't.

The thing is Dak has to exude this type of confidence even if he's never had postseason success. It's what you want from the leader of the franchise. If he did not say these types of things and project the "I am the best" type of attitude, how do you think teammates would respond to that?

They would start to doubt him. And once doubt creeps in, things start to slowly fall apart.

Like Dak or hate him, he knows how to be a leader. That much has been confirmed by every player, past and present, that has been on a roster with him.

I wish Dak was as good as he thinks he is.

The good news is he's nowhere near as bad as his haters try to make him out to be. He's a top seven-10 QB in this league and has been for a long time. Postseason success (or lack thereof, in Dak's case) makes the typical fan belittle his accomplishments and magnify his failures instead.

There is a difference between spouting things that sound like Jerry in public, and doing out of the public view. And there is a difference between giving out a measured response in public and wearing a superbowl XXX shirt and such, and then saying stupid things like telling the Rams owner you going to see him at the NFCG (last year). Don't know why you acting like you don't know about that. I mean, it is not like they don't coach players on what is smart and what is not. He's just going to end up looking as dumb as Jerrah when it does not come true.
