Diggs, when he’s not taking chances and jumping routes, is a good cover corner but I don’t see him as a top 3. And if I’m the Cowboys I’m talking to the Rams about Ramsey. No way he’s back in LA next year.

Doesn't matter because he's going to get paid based off 2022

Name your top 5 then
Don't have an order but Surtain, Sauce and Ramsey are my top 3. Then you have a group of older vets I'd take before Diggs like Lattimore, Tre White and Jaire Alexander. Diggs would be in my next group after that. I could be forgetting some off the top of my head.

As it relates to his contract, he's going to get paid like a top CB. Im not debating that.

His "business" decisions when it came to tackling people felt like he didn't want to get hurt and lessen his value. That whiff on kittle was the icing on the cake, but there were plays towards the end of the year where he just missed tackles on purpose. There was a tackle on Rachad White during the Tampa game where it looked like White juked him but on closer examination, he just didnt want to get dirty.
That wasn't the "WHIFF" tackle, that was the "FETUS" style tackle that Diggs tried to use when he WHIFF on that tackle that allowed Kittle to make a circus catch that broke the backs of his teammates on that drive.

If he ended the season like the season before with all those picks then I am paying him big money but he went by this season was like he rested on last years performance.
Can this franchise make this claim after the contract they handed Dak and Zeke?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Diggs name gets brought up in trade discussions this offseason. Really tough to do as he is almost the only starting NFL caliber CB we have on the roster currently. Tough to resign him though when in the next two years you have to think about Him, Lamb, Dak, Parsons all getting either record setting or top 3 deals at their positions. I get the sense that one of those four wont be on the roster in 2025. Moving Diggs now may save you $25M per while getting you a 2nd first round draft pick. I'm not moving him for cheap, but if someone offered me a mid first plus a 3rd next year it would be extremely tempting.
I would do a 1st and a 3rd right now for Diggs. It’s a shame that we wasted a second rounder on the rapper.

He's top 5 in this league easily, y'all are crazy. There would be a dropoff in this defense if Diggs were to get traded
so you think its because diggs is such a stud? I think hes ok I just think he compares pretty well to the rest of the tea,m because the other corners are weak sauce. The one thing hes good at it is being a ballhawk and he failed miserable when the team needed it most. Blame dak all you want (not you personally) But diggs shares some blame in that loss to san fran

Diggs was my top 3 favorite players on the Cowboys. What he did in the playoffs has soured that. Trade him now or let him show the rest of the league how much he's worth going forward. Because if the Cowboys don't extend him, he's going to be on his best behavior on the last year of his contract. No more business decisions.

If he catches the pick preventing SFs only TD, different game. He makes that play in 2021, he wasn't a playmaker this past year. He dropped a few that he ws making the year before. Not a good trend.

Yep I agree it doesn’t absolve Dak but it’s a team game and that pick would have been large

Diggs is a top 3 corner in the NFL

we can't keep talking about his tackling yes it needs to improve but hes a corner they arent know for being the best at that

and if contract talks start with his tackling instead of him shutting down opposing WR1's then we're on the wrong track

LMAO !!! Are you Diggs agent ?? Diggs is softer than a Jelly donut

some times the defensive back field looked okay but a lot of times miss communication and some-times they looked like a deer in the headlights lost and confused. i know alot of you like diggs but he trade bait and i would use it before the draft. the way this season is shaping up is that cap hell is coming our way beause dumb and dumber are going to try to keep elliott and pollard instead of cutting one when there are plenty of good backs in the draft and top it off gallup has that expensive cap hit. on toop of that our choke qb will have a massive cap hit and if they extend him 2 or 3 years of his choking coming so get what you can

The FETUS style tackles have to drive the price down on Diggs! It's bad enough he gives up a lot of after catch yard and the number of interceptions he had last year were down to almost nothing, but his sagging tackling abilities are very concerning. Maybe it's time to bring in coaches who can work with the younger generation players.

Diggs plays in the playoffs like a baby. Not my kind of guy. Send Diggs and baby Diggs to a place that doesn't care.

Can't really blame him too much. If you get injured in the final year of your contract, you have zero negotiating leverage and zero guarantees of getting a decent contract next year.

Absolutely. It’s never just one thing. If why I don’t like the “it’s all on Dak” crowd. Anyone with a passing interest who watches the games knows Dak has to play better in those games. But it’s not like everyone else on the team was lights out.
