yea, the 2 plays really got me going in my seat "what in the **** is going on"
1st was the beasley in the backfield - the play worked well with austin and his 4.3 speed, not beasley and his 4.5 speed. beas is not threat as returner and only used there for not making the wrong decision like lucky or the rookie last year. then the punt made me do a double take on our field position - then it was a massive ***.

It was a true comedy of erors and miscalculatioms.

What Garrett should have done is tell his OL and RB he believes in them and thinks that a 94% success rate is a credit to their professionalism and dedication to beating their opponent in the big moment. It's what they all to a man would have wanted or they wouldn't be playing in the NFL.

If the Cowboys went for it and failed, how many of those players do you think would have blamed the coaching staff? As it is now, taking the game out their hands casts a shadow of no confidence in them through the eyes of their coach.

I see the logic behind Garrett’s decision, but we have invested so much in the O-line and RB position to not go for it then. We also have a QB built like a linebacker who can run. I get that you have to coach based on different scenarios but I think most fans, myself included, would rather lose trying to do what this team was built to do, rather than putting it all on the defense.

Three first round picks on the OL, another one who would've been absent false allegations on draft week, a second rounder, and the 4th overall pick at RB. All of that, and we're afraid to go for 4th and 1 in the opponent's territory in OT. You know who wouldn't be afraid? Belichik, Tomlin, McCarthy, McVay, Pederson - coaches who aren't afraid to take risks and play to win.

But we've got JG, his one-trick pony playbook, and gutless mentality. How many times have we needed the defense to come through late in a game? How many times have they failed, and how many times have we blamed the offense because they only put up 30 instead of 40? Why would anyone put it in their hands again when all you need is ONE yard?

So what? They'd just have to go 30 fewer yards than they went to win the game, but at least you go down swinging instead of in the fetal position.

Garrett needs to go but honestly the decision to punt was based on the fact that their were multiple times in the game that we could not pick up a yard on 3rd and 1. That fact though, could have been mitigated by a little more creativity which is all on him and Linehan!
