Did Goodell fire a warning missle at Dallas?

I heard a snipet of an interview from Goodell and he said that he has no intention of reviewing Pacman's case until just before training camps open and he feels "No obligation whatsoever" to reinstate him and that any team that is considering him should go into this knowing the possibilities.

That sounds an awful lot like, "Too bad for you Pacman" to me.

Goodell is playing hardball with Pacman=and that is as it should be. When you have screwed up as much as he has you SHOULD get no slack at all.

I agree but I wonder why he is making the statements public at all. I was wondering if that was a subtle way of saying, pacman is sitting out another year.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I wish Dallas would just forget PacMan and just move on.

Exactly... and by he, I mean Goodell. That guy has a hidden agenda and can not be trusted. This is the one man congress SHOULD be investigating.

It sounds to me like Goodell is on a power trip. The professional thing would be for him to make his decisions behind closed doors.

I will not be upset either way. Pac-man made his mistakes and he deserves his punishment.

I just can't stand the way Goodell is free to do and say whatever he wants whenever he wants.

He also felt "no obligation whatsoever" to bring the Pats to justice, and by that I mean - entering all the evidence into the court of public opinion so fans can really know what went on all those years.

I am with you. We do NOT need him and should avoid the temptation to bring his sorry thug behind here.

Perhaps, Goodell believes that by making examples of the Adam Joneses and Chris Henrys that it may keep all the Adam Jones and Chris Henry wannabes in check.

Is that unfair to the guys being punished? Sure. No one wants to be publicly spanked in front of the whole pro football community, but, perhaps, the sport as a whole might benefit in the long run.

Guess I'm not sure how this is a warning missle at Dallas. He made those comments at the Owners' meetings. If he said it again, then he's just reiterating his position seeing as how Pacman plans to apply for reinstatement.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. It gives Pacman another reason to keep his nose clean. And Jerry has said that Pacman is a luxury thing and doesn't deter them from their draft plans.

Roger Goodell is a moron of the highest order. He's a very slimy fellow and I will never trust him.

Dallas and Tenn. should come to a contingent pick for next year paired with a 5-6 this year. That contingent pick could be based on if he is reinstated before camp starts, if he plays a certain percentage of downs, picks etc.... Maybe that ranges from a 6th down to a 4th.

Here's the deal--

I know a guy that knows a guy that said Goodell told Kraft if he was interested in Pacman he would reinstate him before the Draft.

But.. If the Patriots don't want him, then, Pacman will be suspended for another year.

I wonder if Krafts hands get fatigued, ... it really is a problem with a lot of puppet masters.

It's True, it's true.

JJ is just as if not more powerful in the NFL as Boston's brass is. We are the bellcow of the league.

Also this is old news. We will see. i think Goodell is a putz stinging this out like this.
