That would be fine except its a laughable claim.

We had injured guys taking part in those plays. Bad throws are common when you have a bad back. It also didn't help when Witten became a weak route runner because he could barely move.

Let's just hope for complete health, because until that happens, we will never win!

We were about as healthy as anyone could hope in 2007, that still didn't bring a playoff win.

By the way, the player who made that interception, DeShea Townsend was playing on an injured hamstring that kept him out two of the previous three games.

Do you have another excuse? Because this one simply doesn't work.

I know it is more fun to bellow out and whine but it isn't reality.

Your fantasy world where we were the only team with players who could barely move or had bad backs is reality?:lmao:

So, basically, if only Townsend's injury would have been severe enough for him to sit out 3 games, we might have been in the playoffs?

Good point.

So I guess Plaxico's injury had nothing to do with the Giants collapse? That's just an excuse right? Whatever. Losing your Pro Bowl QB for 3 games and him playing very banged up in others are just "excuses". We all know there were multiple (non-injury) factors that went into this year's collapse, but to just call injuries "excuses" is ridiculous.

Now this is a point that has gone under the radar. Witten wasn't himself in more ways than one, yet more balls went his way than anybody else. I'm glad Witten is a trooper, but it's a shame that we didn't utilize our weapons better on offense.

Witten's blocking was terrible -- likely as a result of his injuries. He was a good bit of the reason Romo got the snot beat out of him in the Giants game.

Jason Garrett is the single biggest reason we failed last year. He sucks.

Yeah, he purposely designs those plays so that our QB will throw the ball right into double coverage for the pick, all the while avoiding the wide open checkdown or outlet guy

There's rumors that some of those "secret plays" involve play designs so the 40 million dollar RB exposes the football and fumbles easily too...that hasnt been confirmed, but since you have concluded Garrett is all thats wrong, I'm sure its true.

I would say injuries were the single most predominant reason we weren't in the playoffs. You take away one injury to one player (Romo) and we're almost certainly in the playoffs.

and one and done

the problems run deeper than injuries

and you guys can not bring up Roy's foot anymore, he put that one to rest himself

You can't say that. Man, there are so many on this board that can tell the future.

Injuries, team chemistry, scheme, schedule...the bounce of the ball, everyting causes a losing season.

The only thing that you forgot to say with the "one and done" is

Book it! Period!

Dude!

Honestly, at this point it is not even worth arguing over.

The 2008 Dallas Cowboys were medicore and some people just can't come to grips with the fact that injuries didn't ruin our season.

We had a chance to get into the Playoffs if we win our last game of the season and we were blownout 44-6.

Injuries had absolutely nothing to do with that lopsided score.

Besides, we managed to beat the Tampa Bay Bucs with Tony Romo sitting on the sidelines.

Not necessarily. It's not the only reason for our failures, but it probably was the difference between us making the playoffs and not.

As the Cardinals have shown, all you gotta do is get in and who knows/

as Alexander astutely pointed out, wk. 17 was the difference

Yeah, and Witten said his injuries didn't bother him either. We can ignore the obvious, I guess, if you like.

Show me the person who says that everything is alright and nothing is wrong with the team.

I'd like to see this person.

it's the attitude that if we were healthy, we go to the playoffs, like somehow we didn't underachieve this year, and didn't have major issues internally

As opposed to the idea that nothing is right with this team and there's no hope for next season?

I think I'll avoid both extremes and leave that sort of conversation to you and whoever else.
