Did Not Realize How Putrid The Texans Really Were

I usually dont watch the Texans, but I checked them out today against the skins. They totally suck, and I mean really suck!!

The skins kept running the same plays over and over and over again with their dink and dunk crap and the Texans never even tried to adjust. Their defensive coordinator must be dumb as a rock, its like somebody running the same play against you in Madden and you keep falling for it over and over again:bang2:

I also had a hard time finding Mario Williams, except on one of the TDs where he was blocked by some scrub TE.

Great pick Houston:laugh2:

I've seen two of their games and Williams has been owned by anybody blocking him.

For his own safety, Charlie Casserly should probably never drive through downtown Houston ever again.

Too early to call him a bust, but they needed Bush, Bush was there yet they passed.

If they get another top three pick, they should think about trading it for a multitude of first day picks to improve the team everywhere. Outside of D. Robinson, I wouldn't take many players from that team.

If the Houston defensive players could tackle, the Skins wouldn't have frickin' scored (SLIGHT exaggeration).

the Texans in just a couple years are already challenging the Cardinals for the most pathetic franchise of all time. wonder how long it will take before that franchise also leaves the city of Houston

I would take Carr over Bledsoe, just to see if he can work here.

that's me.

they cant really blame Casserly...they were letting him go all along and the decision on him came from other people...

but they'll probably try to make him a scape goat for it if Williams turns out to be anything other than a great player

I wouldnt...Carr is a bust

people want to point the finger at his OL, but honestly everytime I watch them (and it isnt alot, but when I do) HE is the main problem with their offense...he isnt accurate and makes alot of bad decisions

Carr is my pick for "Player Most Likely to Emulate Jim Plunkett's Career." :D

#1 QB gets the snot beat out of him on a bad team for years, finds a spot on a better team later in life that squirts out what's left of that god-given talent.

I want to see him on a team that has talent...at the worst I can only see him as a younger Bledsoe.

I watched the entire first half and bits and pieces of the second. Easily the ugglies display of football i've witnessed in several years.

Bledsoe was a far better passer at the same stage of their careers...Carr isnt anywhere near as accurate, nor does he have anywhere near the arm strength

good title for the post, bc they are putrid.

as far as mario, one of the announcers said how the coaches (texans) said he was just raw. basically lacking "football skills." i guess whoever this guy was had no input on draft day.... what a waste of the 1st pick in the draft.

the worst part for me is, being here in dc, the papers, radio, etc. are all going to proclaim the the skins have arrived and now the offense is on track, and theyre on their way to the SB, gibbs has righted the ship, yadda yadda yadda. nary one will make mention of the fact that the texans are indeed, in fact, as aptly put here, putrid.

ah well. just makes the inevitable fall that much more enjoyable to watch.

They are bad...really bad. Although, I would take Andre Johnson and Robinson any day of the week on the Cowboys.

The houston fans here really got their hopes up during the preseason...now it has returned to "just beat those damn Cowboys and I will be happy" type of year. Pooooorr NFL aggiiieeee.

I can't believe you guys are bashing David Carr...ridiculous...the guy was sacked 9 times in the first two games, but he still had a 123 QB rating...today he was sacked and harrassed again and again because his offensive line really sucks, and his starting field position was bad because his defense can't get anyone off the field.

Yet after 3 weeks he still leads the entire league with the highest QB rating. I think a guy who takes the punishment he takes, and watches his organization pass on guys like Reggie Bush, yet still finds a way to perform admirably should get some respect.

I'd love to have David Carr as the cowboys QB.

I agree with you on Johnson. I think he would be a star in Dallas.
