No. Been saying all along we only need a couple of picks on the offensive side and the rest all D with each pick.

Yes but it depends on where those picks are. The first part of the draft needs to be interior dline to move the qb out towards Ware and Selvie.... then a huge lb and then a huge safety.... You know that we had that description in Safety a couple of times in Watkins and Williams but it didn't pan out. Maybe third time is a charm.

Not at all. Just another Super Bowl. Sometimes there is defensive domination, sometimes offensive and sometimes it's right down the middle. No need to overreact and think some trend has developed. I can't paint a scenario where the Cowboys are playing in this game next year but if I had to find a scenario, it would not be to try to blueprint what Seattle does. by the time we are in good shape, the Super Bowl winner likely has a different blueprint than Seattle. The Cowboys need to walk before they run. Get out of cap hell and the moronic philosophy they have with how they offer and extend contracts, identify their future QB, and build both lines.

So, done as in 45 TDs instead of 55, and only 30 1st place MVP votes instead of 49?

No, done as in the blue print to stop Denver is to cut of short and intermediate with Denver and force Manning to throw deep. He can't do it any longer and what it's going to force is for Manning to hold the ball longer rather then get it out of his hands quicker. That will translate into more hits on Manning and in his condition, that's not good.

But yeah, it's certainly more important to be able to watch Manning throw a few more TDs.

For the record, I'd bet money that Payton will not be winning the MVP next year.

I hope he retires.

I think Manning is done. I hope he doesn't come back next year because I think this will be the game plan and I would rather not see Manning suffer for it. JMO.

Did you not see the football season and what this dude accomplished? I understand it's your opinion but the numbers are there.

Pinning the SB loss on him is ludicrous. The Denver Game plan didn't change.....at all...... and I blame that on the staff. Period. Did they really think that Decker and Welker were the answer? Demarius is the only threat they have and he isn't a field stretcher by any means and they stayed with the dink and dunk plan. Brilliant, John Fox.

Seattle could've watched film from game 4 of the season and been just as effective.

lol, this would be a fun thread to revisit, not that I'll remember. The Broncos could play Seattle tomorrow and I'm pretty sure you would see Manning adjust and throw deep just fine. Not to mention you are talking about a defense that is being mentioned among the recent greats in history and saying that every Oakland and Buffalo in the league will just be able to copy it, like it's that easy. Aren't the Cowboys supposed to be using Seattle as a blueprint? How'd that work out? Hilarious.

I wouldn't bet on him winning MVP again either... simply because twice in a row is a hard thing to (even though he's done it twice) and it's not entirely dependent on how just he plays (he could be great but just be outdone). I'm pretty sure you would not bet against him having a typical Manning season which would be a joke to call "done".

on offense, dominate at the line of scrimmage if you want your QB to win the game then give him the opportunity and the time. on defense, be dominant at least one aspect, at the line of scrimmage or in the secondary. each can feed off the other.

I'll be honest, I thought Denver was going to take Seattle out fairly easily. I thought giving Peyton two weeks with weapons like DeMarius, Julius and Welker was going to be too much for Seattle given that they aren't an especially potent offense.

You would think and it would make sense.

I thought Peyton really blew it here. He had a chance to really set the record straight... But as we know, once the wheels start wobbling he can't right the ship. He just helps the wheels fall off.

At 2-0, 9-0 and even at 22-0 they had a chance. That TD after halftime really made it the point of no return though.

I knew that is the defense got to him that the dominoes would fall.

Vegas doesn't make money on the winners and losers. They make money on the vig. Their goal is to make the betting as even as possible on both sides.

What's the word outta Vegas?

It would seem that Seattle and the 3 pts was a great bet... Vegas took a bath on this one?

I live in New Mexico. I literally see every single Bronco game aired. Here, the Cowboys and the Broncos are both shown every week. That's kind of the point. I've watched Manning this season.

As for pinning the SB loss on him, well, that would be you. I've never said that the loss was his fault. Those are your words but the fact remains, he can not throw the deep ball with any degree of accuracy or distance any longer. All you have to do is watch him play.

Not really. The real Vegas betting was on Seattle. The fan betting was on Denver. When the lines were originally announced, Seattle was the Favorite but the heavy betting for Denver pushed it. I suspect that the Smart money in Vegas was still on Seattle. Who really knows?

and Broncos offense was being talked about as the best of all time with a record setting offense and Manning breaking the record of most TD passes but when you put a great defense they can slow up a great offense. I agree you can't copy the seahawks but then you can't copy what Denver did either but also does not change the fact of what a strong defense can do. Just as NY defense was able to shut down the pats when they beat them in the SB

Manning was NEVER an above average deep ball thrower. His career was built on medium to short passing.

Having access to him the last couple of years doesn't bode well for a critique concerning his talent ability. He's 37. Of course he's going to decline. The dude is still amazing. He ain't done.......yet.

Implying that Manning has lost it in this particular thread....pretty much implies you would have thought it was on him. My bad.

I lived in the Q for 27 years. It's how I became a cowboys fan. It was them or the Broncos. Dallas beat them in the superbowl (my first) and the rest is history.

The fans can take a little blame for this as well because Seahawk fans give them a HUGE advantage.

I would take the Seattle atmosphere at our home games over any player in this draft.

I'm not implying anything. I stating that Manning can no longer throw the deep ball accurately. I'm stating that Manning can no longer throw the deep ball deep. Lets not get confused here. I'm not implying anything. Those are facts.

You know...I think Peyton Manning is a fine QB. But, the love he gets for being the best QB since sliced bread just makes me laugh. People talks about Romo's stats (and no, I am not comparing Romo to Manning) and how good he is during the season, but when the playoffs come, like Romo, Manning has not done nothing. One SB, that's it.

Hell, even his goofy brother has more SB wins than Peyton. Chew on that for a minute.
