No not really. Romo is what he is. He's a good QB but not a great one. He had a bad game yesterday. The whole team did.

Same opinion, good QB but has never proven to me he is a BIG game QB who could consistently get you into the playoffs and win you championships. I was hoping he could have made a statement last night and change my opinion because I so want him to shut up his critics, including me. But again it didn't happen and I don't know if it ever will, his window is staring to close and without any post season success his legacy will be just below Danny White..... IMO.

How many big game QBs lead their team to the playoffs with a defense giving up 700 yards and 40 first downs?

Just curious.

Aaron Rodgers and Drew brees has a lot to do with that also

No kidding. I was just sticking up for our receiving corp. With a team full of holes, that's not the problem offensively.

The sooner we get a blue chip prospect qb and an offense that is qb friendly and utilizes weapons, the sooner we'll be a real contender. I don't think we will be a real contender for the next couple years so I'd like to draft a qb in round 1 next year and let him sit behind tony for a year or 2 while the front office is slowly reloading with good young talent. The other needs don't matter because 1 player won't send us over the top and make us a real Super Bowl threat.

Tony needs to leave somehow. I hope he finds greener pastures. This team and fanbase doesn't deserve him.

I've never seen a fanbase root so hard against one player...in essence, hoping that the he fails so they can raise their hands and say, "look, I told you so!"

QFTFT!!! The defense gives up Historical numbers that this franchise has not seen on a defense for the Cowboys. And who do they blame? It goes beyond imagination, it really does.

What I cannot understand about Romo is how does he live with that hate? He get's paid millions and he deserves the hate for the defense giving up franchise numbers?

The fans that hate Romo should thank him for not throwing any Int's last night, or the score could have been worse!

If Jerry were smart, or compassionate for Romo, he should try and make a trade to a struggling team after this season and let Romo go.

It's just hard to comprehend that so many cannot comprehend that.

I would love to see Romo under someone else's system. Like Payton's, for instance. He could be lethal.

Not saying Romo isn't part of the problem, but I would still like to see him play under someone else.

Romo looked like a guy that didn't believe in the gameplan, his protection, or the team's chances defensively.

The offense has grown stagnant. They run out of bunch formations every time, and they pass out of the spread every time. No motion, no stacking of receivers on Dez' side, no bunch sets, no designed roll-outs, nothing. Same ole, same ole.

He's as frustrated as we are.

Opie could not find the "play design" button on his Playstation.

Tony has free reign to audible into any play he wants to at any time during the game.

He pretty obviously does not. I know that while Garrett hardly gives us anything behind the scenes, he has strongly implied that Tony can make a lot of decisions based on the play options and pre-snap reads, but that he can't just do whatever he wants. Let me see if I can find the exact quote.

Improved it and I was already a huge romo supporter.

Was Garrett the one who put dez in the slot and beasley outside? no

Was Callahan the one who put dez in the slot and beasley outside? no

Who put dez in the slot with beasley outside, on the fly, and completed a 40 yard bomb?

Tony Romo.

Its just another spoonful of proof, on top of 2 minute drills and no huddles, that Tony could do a better job of play calling than Garrett AND callahan. Period.

Yea, anybody that says Romo is the problem has a serious lack of understanding of the game.

Without Romo, Opie would be dam lucky to win 3 or 4 games a year max.

I Will honestly be excited when we have a young QB out there with lots of potential. Just something fresh from this team. Not old, dry and boring. Watching these players feels like I'm watch I love Lucy reruns.

You know what would excite me?

A defense that didnt give up 700 yards and 40 first downs.

I seriously think Western Omaha would beat us with this defense.

That is an audible...

Romo gets two plays, he calls one or the other depending on what he sees. The plays are called down to the offense from upstairs by the OC. In the huddle, Romo calls those two plays and might Kill one play and go to the other play.

Romo cannot run an offense that just does what Romo wants. It does not work that way.

Why are we even discussing the QB when the defense is giving up 50 burgers and setting NFL-All Time records?

When the defense can hold somebody under 50 points and avoid another entry in the record books, then we can start talking about the QB play. Until then its laughable.

The question was if last nights game changed my opinion of him...I took that to mean over his career.....Romo has not always had bad defenses and the results have been the same, so my opinion is still he is a good QB not Big time.....to your question and its obvious to everyone not many big game QBs would with the defense we have this year, but that wasnt the question.

Don't know about Romo but I know Dez is not elite and can be easily taken out of games by the opposing defense.

Like I said in another thread, I think complaining about Romo is like complaining about the tires of a car when the engine isn't functioning correctly and the car is not moving as it should be as a result.
