Did the Bills steal our guy?

Seems like every year teams are jumping up in front of us to take our top guy.

Now I’m happy with smith but I wonder if dalton was the pick…

But it definitely seems like every team in the nfl knows who we’re picking for some reason…

It looked like they were scrambling a bit when they came on the clock that’s why I was curious didn’t seem like they knew what they were gonna do beforehand

If they did they did us a favor. I can't believe they traded up for Dalton Kincaid. And if they think he's going to be their Travis Kelce they're very most likely wrong. He's in the mold of Noah Fant (4.50) and Evan Engram (4.41) but runs a 4.71 40. Same size as those guys if not smaller. Maybe he plays all over the field and is really good, I still think a guy like Mazi is so much harder to get. He can't block like them and if teams thought he had Kittle/Kelce upside they wouldn't have let him fall to 25. May be a good fit for Buffalo but we didn't miss on any kind of special generational prospect at TE. If anything I'll reiterate that Zack Kuntz is more special as a prospect.

We played it very close to the best this year. I don’t think anyone knew what we were doing.

I am happier than Anson Williams cashing a residuals check.
Mazy is jazzy and will be a giant barrier up front!

I'm glad we went with Mazi. We spent years stacking the deck on offense and became something akin to a football version of the mavs. Nice offense, but when it gets hectic in the playoffs, the offense gets shut down and our defense gets gashed.

If Mazi Smith was indeed 14th on their board that seems unlikely.
Last year they has Smith ahead of Green and Johnson. Nobody believed it, but it was true.

It has been said that Dallas had as little as 11 players with 1st round grades. If true Smith being 14 on the Dallas board is not as far fetched as one would think.

Dallas seems to grade differently from other teams. They do draft well so they should continue to do what has worked for them in the past.

Teams do reconassiance on other team. It's sure no secret Dallas wanted to replace Schultz.

It's because of the chatter. Just like there was a lot of talk that the Eagles wanted Jalen Carter. That's why they switched with Chicago. So no one could do that to them.

I don't think we had any intention of drafting a TE at 26. Dallas usually drafts best player at position of need in the first two rounds. Barring a CD Lamb event. Had they needed a DE, they would have drafted Myles Murphy or Nolan Smith. The TE crap was a smoke screen.

Teams still probably think we want a TE. Any team behind us wanting a TE in the 2nd, all they have to do is jump to 57. They know we don't move.

There is also a bunch of TEs still on the board.

Could very well end up with one of the top ones still.

There are still a bunch there- you could always trade up now to get the guy you want.

However, I think the rookies we had last year performed about as best as you could expect and would love to see them get the chance to prove themselves.

So pumped we got Mazi
