Who cares who looked the best, who looked the worst. I look at W-L. At the end of the year that is all that matters. You dont have someone saying...WOW the Cowboys really put forth and effort lets throw them a bone and give them a playoff berth. They were a disgrace plain and simple. The 49ers were ripe for the pickins and we just couldnt get it done.

I wasn't impressed with any of the teams in the division having watched the majority of those games. While Philly may be the favorites, I think we can compete with all of the teams in the division. We were 5-1 against the division last year and we were right there with Orton as QB in the last one. The Giants and Commanders don't appear to be any better. The Eagles looked like they regressed for a half until they picked it up against the Jaguars. While I don't believe winning a weak division makes you an instant contender, we still have a chance to win said division.

The Iggles only scored 27. A fumble return was good for the last 7.

They scored 34 unanswered points after being down by 17. This thread is hilarious you have at least one FAN trying to spin the Cowboys looked better than everyone in the division including a team that won by 17 points.

Had we ran the ball in the red zone on our 2nd and 3rd possessions like we should have, we would have likely put up 14 points instead of 3. That would have changed the entire complexion of the game. Whoever abandoned the run on those possessions cost us a chance in the game, be it Romo, Garrett, or Linehan. That's the bottom line. I fail to see how anyone could not see it.

Bingo. While our O-Line was far from perfect on Sunday, it remains our biggest strength this season. We have a Pro Bowl caliber RB and a few Pro Bowl caliber OL in Smith and one day Frederick and Martin. Most of our success was coming on the ground and we should have stuck to the power run game.

I agree. The Cowboys dominated a very good 49ers defense in the trenches Sunday. Sadly, boneheaded mistakes meant they couldn't stick to the run behind by so many points.

The good news is, Dallas' mistakes are of the correctable variety and they won't face many teams better than San Fran all season. New Orleans and Seattle are all that come to mind.

I was not trying to spin that we looked better. Only stating a statistical fact.

I was simply stating that the OFFENSE scored 27 points, not 34.

You said their offense scored "only" 27 points. All 27 of their offensive points came in the second half which shows how explosive they are.

Agree. It's like saying Moe is good looking in the middle of Curly and Larry.

Take away Romo's INT's, And Murray's fumble, even though other teams had their turnovers too.
But did Dallas actually play the better overall ball this first weekend of the East.

Washington did nothing against a not so good Texans team. RG3 harassed all day, defense looked bad, just that Houston couldn't score.

Giants defense looked worse than ours was supposed to have. Eli looked a s bad as Romo, and their overall offense did not look good either.

Houston was credited with 14 QBHits and 3 sacks. That is pretty dang good.

Jax D isn't great but isn't THAT bad either. Being able to put up 34pts in 1 half is impressive none the less.

Giants O looked slow and weak against a good Dline. Their D looked so-so.

Dallas was able to run the ball very well against a good SF Dline, passing game was eh. SF wasn't blitzing a lot and was giving up the dink and dunk stuff

I'd say PHI, DAL, NYG, WSH.

This is just another poor attempt by a FAN to try and spin a positive out of a negative. You have to really reach to find a positive in an 11 point spanking at home and claim the Cowboys looked better than everyone in the division including Philly who won in a 17 point blowout. One FAN said Philly's offense only scored 27 points when all 27 came in one half when they were down by 17. The Cowboys were down by 18 and could never creep closer than 11 points to a team that had trouble scoring during the preseason.
