Did we almost have Thomas Rawls?

If I recall, he was set to sign as an undrafted free agent with Dallas and chose Seattle instead. Is this correct?

He looks like a beast. I am not sure Lynch gets his job back.

Came from Central Michigan University. Some of the notable CMU grads in the NFL:
  • Rawls - RB, Seahawks
  • Antonio Brown - WR, Steelers
  • Eric Fischer - T, Chiefs (1st pick overall a couple of years ago, disappointing so far)
  • Joe Staly, T, 49ers
  • JJ Watt - DE, Texans (Ok, I'm not being fully truthful. Watt was recruited as a TE by CMU and played there his year and then transferred to Wisconsin)
  • Finally, the greatest CMU grad of all time - Gary Hogeboom.... :D
Anyhow, my point is they are a relatively small school pumping out some big time talent recently.

He had some massive red flags coming out of Central Michigan. He pleaded out of 3 felony convictions related to theft including stealing an old ladies purse.

That's why he made it through the draft without anybody taking a sniff.

Sounds like a perfect fit

We should have just drafted him. Instead we traded a draft pick for another TE that will probably never see the light of day on game day.

We wasted almost half the season on Randle. Instead we could have had a running back like Rawls right now.

The running game has still been relatively effective. But they should have been pushing for this guy or have gone after the guy I was pounding the table for, Karlos Williams. The decision to stick with Randle was a big miss though. And Jay Ajayi looked pretty good Sunday as well.

Took less money to sign with Seattle

Correct...kid was really bad news. Has he straightened out? Maybe. Meh, it's the NFL I know but still....

Rawls looks legit, and Lynch may not be missed. Lynch injury is weird. Did he grab his crotch too hard and get a hernia?
