Did we over pay?

lol.

I love how he asks for opinions and then makes it very clear that he's going to feel your not logical if you don't have the opinion he's looking for.

Stupid question that only has 1 actual answer. We didn't over pay because that was the going rate for players of their caliber when their contracts came up.

We did not over pay for either one, they're both worth every penny we paid at that time.

The contract was given to Romo the day after he threw the pick to the Commanders. Jerry panicked and gave him an unrealistic contract. The contract should have been no longer than 4 years with the last year voidable.

Ding Ding Ding someone gets it...

That is the thought process of a lazy Couch Potato who thinks they know better then guys who are paid to do this daily, market value is the darndest thing. If we didn't pay someone else would've, and why let our young talent go that we've invested in? Such a stupid thought process from clowns.

So since you can make this claim where in the room? I'm just curious

The OP had a nearly a 700 to 1 post to like ration. That's pretty impressive trolling right there.

Dez? Absolutely. I wish people would be more objective and see he hasn't done anything to earn that contract yet. Nothing.
I believe it's due to injury and bad QBs. He has always had good rapport with Romo. When healthy he has come through with Dak as well. But those guys we trotted out behind center last year couldn't get the ball to anyone. Remember how Beasley's production dropped last year too? When Dez comes back healthy, we will all be glad we have him. He might be "injury prone" in some people's opinion, but I never blame a player for getting hurt in a violent sport. He's hungry now too so I expect him to be productive.

I mean he dominated Washington in week 2 and scored a TD in week 3 against Chicago with a fractured knee. I feel like the narrative he fell-off is ridiculous.

It is. It's just the last bastion for the huddled masses.

Who do you guys want to spend the money on?......DAL is 9m under the cap this year and 50m under next year.....we have to pay Mo next year and that is about it

50 million under next year????

I looked at Spotrac and it shows 17 million over now for 2017?

But I'm not knowing of what the Cowboys could do to help themselves out.

Without restructures, Dallas could have let Romo walk after this season for a puny 5 mil in dead money.

It was an outstanding contract. There is definitely an argument that the restructures were ill-advised but that's another story.

Did we over pay for Romo or Dez? In hindsight most logical fans will agree we did. How much do we owe Romo? Dez still has an opportunity to earn his contract.

Define your meaning of logic. :muttley:
