Did we Really go to the Moon?

Nah, no personal issue. But you are a Truther. You admitted as much in the 9-11 anniversary thread.

And here I was thinking Popular Mechanics took care of all of those people

I found this on youtube... it's the most convincing evidence I've seen.

But like, if we're to believe NASA was powerful enough to fake a moon landing in the first place, don't we think they could own a show such as myth busters and the equipment and results reported?

Just saying..

So they're doing this at McDonald's observatory too? I don't think so.

Yeah we did. Doesn't mean there isn't a conspiracy behind it though...

We can land equipment, including reflectors, on the moon without landing people on the moon. The presence of a reflector does not prove Apollo 11 landed there.

I do, however, believe they did.

There was just some video a while ago that showed the vehicle still there and the tracks still visible on the moon.

Oh, yeah, they got there. And what did they do while they were there? Collected a few rocks, hit a golfball, and put a flag there. That's it.:)

Although, what else are you going to do on the moon? Pretty boring place, if you ask me. So, what would you do on the moon, given the chance?

My grandpa went to his grave believing it was a hoax because he had been duped by the Orson Welles' "War of the World's" broadcast.

In our day and age we should know better about silly conspiracy theories but we don't so I will simply say put a Tom Selleck mustache on it and call it good.

Wow is simply all I can say. Can't believe I know of one now. I go back to my last statement.

I feel exactly the opposite. I'm OK with that. But I wasn't sheltered. So I already knew there were plenty of you guys, especially on this board. But I think someone posted a political discussion/form link...maybe we should visit it so we can actually talk about it rather than take snide, pot shots...

Wows, aws, and stuff like that is the easy way out. There's no discussion, so no thinking involved. Sadly, I think that's 99% of the problem. But hey, chalk it up to human nature, I guess.

Welles was right on about some things.

Good luck Mr. Gorsky.

The last word of it sums it up nicely. No need for a discussion with the flat Earth Society members either, just let them assume no one saw hundreds of workers laying in thousands of charges to bring down a building of that size.

Rest his soul my friend. But you gotta admit, Orson Welles had great style and he was before his time and whether you believe certain things nowadays because of how things happened or not, he still put some things in perspective especially if you really analyze his literature. I read 1984 in a class, but it was the only one by him on the reading list. I love that book even though the fictional aspect is a bit charged, so to speak.

One thing in philosophy, and the most important thing in philosophy, is that we know every generation proves the last wrong in many ways because of our innate desire to push the limits of what we know about the world.

The hoax made sense, but we have evidence to prove otherwise.

Regarding that issue, I guess you could call me a truther.

Which means you are more likely to believe other BS conspiracies as well.

Or maybe you consume what the media tells you more than you should.

Nice effort, CowboyMcCoy, but I think the best conspiracy theory-type thread that I've seen here is the JFK assassination thread. That one was fascinating, especially notherbob's first hand accounts.
