I don't expect people who walk around like a zombie with their phones to give much of damn about anything.

Do you even read your sentence before you post it? How did that make any sense rofl. The salt is so real. <3 you bud.

Saw this and thought it was pretty great. I love that some are using this as an opportunity to engage locals.

Fad? Pokemon isn't a "fad", it's been going strong for two decades now and is only topped by Mario. Please, can someone here give a valid criticism outside of stupid people doing stupid things?

I've never seen a bunch of old men get so worked up over an app in my life. Go shoot some beer cans.

I didn't see anyone get worked up until this post.

Pokémon Go is a fad and it's not decades old. It just recently came out.
I didn't know being 47 makes me an old man.

It's worth nothing he's talking specifically about Pokemon Go, he didn't say "Pokemon is a fad."

I believe Pokemon Go is totally a fad, nothing that burns this bright can last. People will keep playing of course, but remember when everyone was super into Angry Birds?

I was on the elevator this morning and this 20something guy was saying to his friend, "I'm all in on Pokemon GO." His friend asked if he thinks he'll still be playing it a month from now and he said probably not... We'll see.

I can't comment too much, but in all of my travels in Asia, not once did I catch peekachoo.

Deputies: Man shot at teens playing 'Pokemon Go'

A man was sleeping in his Palm Coast area home about 1:30 a.m. when a loud noise woke him up. The 37-year-old looked outside and spotted a white car parked in the road outside his Primrose Lane house, said Flagler County Sheriff's Office Jim Troiano.

He grabbed his handgun and went outside to investigate. As he came up to the car, he overheard one of the two teens say "did you get anything?" Troiano said.
That's when the man stepped in front of the vehicle, thinking they had possibly broken into his home, raised his gun and ordered them not to move, officials said.
The vehicle sped towards him and he moved out of its path. He then fired rounds at the vehicle because he said it "was attempting to strike him," Troiano said.

The next morning, a mother of one of the teens called authorities to report what had happened.

She said her 19-year-old son and his 16-year-old friend were playing Pokemon Go on their smartphones when they were confronted by a man who came out of a home and started shooting at them, authorities said.

The mother told deputies the teens did not tell her about the incident until they saw the car had a flat tire and bullet holes in the rear tire, hubcap and fender.

There are alot of 20 somethings playing it, I'm sure some are becaue its the "cool" thing right now, but everyone I know that is playing it is because we all grew up playing Pokemon, so it has nostalgia with this new game. I have to admit I play it, went downtown in my home city with my brother last night, and walked almost 5 miles playing it, saw alot of people playing it as well, have to wait and see how long it stays popular, the exercise is great lol

This is the inversion of your experience between exercise and pokeman.

I've already lost interest, but it's a cool idea. For anyone complaining/giving people a hard time about it?

And in that situation you would deserve to be shot at then.

How so? By every definition, the home owner is the one who is creating the imminent threat and since they did not go on his property, he has no right to hold them at gun point. I'm not saying the two teenagers should run him over, and if there were another route that he was not blocking, go that way, but they should do what ever they need to, to escape and if he were blocking the only way to escape, then I don't blame him.

Not to mention, according to the article, he fired shots after the car had already passed him, thus the what ever danger he faced, had already passed. He should most definitely be charged.

Once you try to run them over you are the threat - a car is a weapon. Homeowner can make a citizens arrest in that situation if he believes you are a committing a crime.

According to the article, they sped towards him, and once he moved out of their path, he began firing shots. At that point, they are fleeing, and there is no threat, he was no longer in their path. It was at best a retaliation shot, which I do not think the law covers.

Homeowner can make a citizens arrest in that situation if he believes you are a committing a crime.

Considering no crime was committed, escaping someone wielding a gun is not a crime, and they weren't on his property, you'd have a decent claim for charging him with illegally detaining them
