If Jerry had REALLY wanted to gift Parcells, instead of a Papa John’s franchise, he woulda given him some shares of Cowboy$ $tock.

Yacht...Garrett already has unrestricted access...Jerry even lets him drive...

If Jerry let him drive Jerry's favorite toy (The Cowboys) do you think he would keep Garrett away from his less valuable toys...the yacht...the copter...the private jet...how do you think Garrett manages to attend all of those basketball games during the football season...
Ok..

U CONVINCED ME..

We should keep him as the official chauffer of the organization.

Happy?

I had never heard this before.

Yesterday Rex Ryan was discussing why a coach would not work for Jerrah.

He said that is a lie and anybody with a lick of sense would go there and try to make it work.

He related that when Parcells decided he was leaving..

Jerrah gifted him a Papa John's Pizza franchise as a thank you.

Worth $100,000's of $1000s annually.

Are you kidding nobody wants to work for the Cowboys?

Show of hands please?

The rest of you can sit down and go hungry.

I do not want to hear anymore about Jerrah not being in touch.

He knows money.

Parcells really liked Jerry as a person and as an owner.

Jerry's push for TO might have been the difference between Parcells leaving but Parcells was not really all-in at that point regardless of Jerry's involvement.

Parcells didn't really want to be in Texas.

Red---HC of Dallas cowboys is up there with other elite HC jobs...NY Yankees...LA Lakers....Parcells took the job knowing Jerry's meddling issues...it was the Tony Romo fumble in 2006 playoff against Seahawks that made Parcells quit

No one that I've seen has said Jerry doesn't know money. That's one of the problems, he does know money and I think it sits number one on his list of priorities. This is football we have the issue with Jerry over. Two different areas. Now ask urself, did Bill Parcells leave? Or did he stay? Giving bill a franchise didn't make him turn his car around and head back to Dallas , did it?

You know..

In the past I would have agreed with you.

Now..knowing more about the man..

seeing him voted into the HofF by his peers..

there are just too much about him that is private and despite his high visibility as owner/GM..

you have to keep an open mind on Jerrah.

Winning or losing is what drives us as fans.

Jerrah has a much bigger plate to address.

Players, staff, his own family, extended business interests we will never know..

and he is what 77?

Oh my..feeling a little small myself.

I agree with all that. Which is why he shouldn't be the the GM of the Cowboys. Thanks for making my point.

Every NFL owner "knows money". They are all so insanely rich most people can't fathom it.

The fact that Jones shook out some loose change from under his sofa cushions for a crappy pizza franchise hardly indicates he is "in touch".

Want is one hand and sht in the other and see which one fills up first. The reason this team is and has been in disarray lies solely at the feet of the owner. You can't have your hands in every aspect of this operation but then be totally removed from blame for its failures. Knowing money and winning championships is NOT synonymous.

Did not know it came across as that.

I was merely passing along an otherwise unreported story about them and they're relationship some might find enlightening.

I realize some may reject it as being not interesting..

others will not and will chat about it.

I am open to any interpretation.

Despite my own personal thoughts which do not matter here..

I was looking for how the Forum perceives it.

I would love for Jerrah to narrow his attention so we as fans can enjoy it all more.

But that would mean such a big change it seems unreasonable to hope for.

We shall see.

Small price to pay for the guy who fixed the franchise and essentially got you all the yes votes on the ballot in arlington in 2004.

Hopefully a size 12 Tecovas to his backside as he turns to leave.
Bought a pair of twisted x work boots the other day and while I was doing so I was on the phone with my Grandpa who couldn’t remember a brand boot that started with a T that they sold in Texas. Your post has given me a clue. A like in gratitude.

Anyone that thinks no one would come here is kidding themselves. More than likely they are Garrett apologist just hoping their hero will would continue to ruin our franchise.
