Didnt realize we play in 3 days

Just speaking in general. I don’t know each cities regional station. In Houston, when the Texans are on MNF, they show them on ABC. Each city is different.
All I understand but people reading this that might be in DFW market and don't have Prime I'm letting them know it absolutely a 100 percent is on Fox 4 Thursday night..

Thursday football is stupid (except Thanksgiving). Teams shouldn't have 2 Thursday games unless one of them is following a Thursday which the league likes to do with Dallas at Thanksgiving.

Why is it stupid?
And it is not going away.
No. It's not going away. I suspect another day of the week will be added before long.

It's stupid because of the 3-days rest. The quality of the games usually suffers and it ends up creating imbalances in the schedule. I don't like Thursday games at all but acknowledge they exist and my groaning about it makes no difference.

Rio, then on the road the next week, then play 4 days later.

Thanks, NFL.

NFL schedule makers, as usual, tried to stick it to the Cowboys. A trip to Brazil followed by a road game followed by a Thursday night game. Let’s win Thursday and use that mini break to heal and fix the issues on ST’s and defense.
That’s the spirit! The hypocritical, conspiracy theorist, poor us attitude.

That huge road game for the one hour flight to Houston was killer. And then they top it off by scheduling us against one of the pre season Super Bowl favorites 4 days later!

No other team in the league goes what we go through.

The crazy part is that Dallas has almost half of their games in a little over a month - 36 days.
Two 3 games in 11 days is dumb. - that's around 35% of their total schedule in 22 days
And don't forget Dallas is getting their bye on the last week possible, in December.

Thursday Night football started in part because teams used to complain the Cowboys and Lions always got a "mini-bye" after playing on Thanksgiving every year. That also led to a rotational prime time Thanksgiving game.

The reality is there is little benefit to playing on Thursday. It severely hinders practice and injury recovery time. And the "long break" after playing on TNF really amounts to just two extra days if you think about it.

It's just another NFL money grab. A game on an extra day of the week equals more ratings and more ad revenue; etc. And they will still preach they are concerned about player safety.

Trying flying 10 hours, play a game. Fly 10 hours back. Then get on another flight even if only an hour.
It is really 3 hours. Get to the airport, wait until the flight leaves, then go to a hotel, then the game.

Another 3 hours ordeal or so to get to the airport, fly home, drive home. Then get up the next morning for meetings and preparation for the TNF game.

However that is the way it works out at times.
Then they get 10 days rest. Go to GB, then at Philly. Then next 3 of 4 games at home I think.

The layout of the schedule over all is really not that bad. The last half of the schedule is pretty decent.

This is either really good for us or really bad against an inexperienced QB

My point is every year multiple teams have plenty of complaints about scheduling, it’s not just us, so save the excuses and pity party.

It’s the same people that claim “the NFL tried to screw us by giving us the hardest strength of schedule” before the season starts but if we get an “easy” strength of schedule and a division rival gets a “harder” strength of schedule then those same people say “strength of schedule doesn’t mean anything because we don’t know how the teams will turn out”.

Or if we get a bad call then it’s “the refs always try to screw us”, as if other teams don’t get screwed just as much because the officiating and rules suck league wide, but when we get calls clearly in our favor then it’s “good, they screwed us last week”.

I just hate excuses, especially in this league, because every team has legitimate gripes. Every team gets screwed in some way, at some point, it’s not just us. I seem to remember a few calls going our way against the Giants, including a clear PI call in the end zone that wasn’t called, or what about the face mask against Skateboo where his face was clearly bleeding? I don’t remember hearing anyone complaining about how they tried to shaft us there. Obviously we ended up losing but almost every other fan in the league were saying the officials were trying to help us win.
