Difference between us and Philly

I live in Philly and the differences can easily be picked out.

1. Training Camp

The Eagles this year ran probably the most physical camp. Guys were in pads and hitting from day one and continued all the way to the week before the season started. In our camp we werent in pads as much as other teams. Matter in fact I think we could of held the record for least amount of time in pads and hitting. Why is this important? This shows who the contenders and who the pretenders are. We could see early who will quit or complian about the intesity of camp. I would go out on a limb and say we would get some quitters. I can see Tank whining about the need not to get beat up before the season starts. Spears would come up with a phantom injury along with other players, etc. Point being, the whiners and guys that wont make it through a rough camp you should consider getting rid of. These are the guys who wont get the job done when their tired in the 4th quarter when you need to put the extra effort in. We have too many of these players. A tough camp will make the locker room chemistry killers jump to the head of the class in the preseason rather than in week 17. Those players that leaked the information in week 15 about TO would of leaked info to Ed Werder in week 2 of training camp about its too hard. Maybe then we could of cleaned up the mess rather than after the season. True character comes out when your beat up and tired rather than when your in and ill use the quote "camp cupcake."

2. Play calling

If you notice when the Eagles went on there streak they did so by pass protection. The Eagles I beileve gave up the least amount of sacks this year. Why? The Eagles always keep 9 into block and let two recievers work down the field. An example of this is when Buckhalter caught that 58 yarder on us. He stayed into block and when he blocked for about 4-5 seconds he leaked out and Mcnabb hit him. The Eagles always do this. Westbrook in the 2nd Giant game is another example where he leaked out after staying into block and beat Pierce for a 55 yard td. Now if you compare this to us there is really no comparison. We always send 3-4-5 guys out in pass routes and the oline has no help whatsoever. Speed rushers kill us because when they blow pass our slow tackles, instead of having a back or in the eagles case back's into help out, there in a short pass route thats worth nothing. Its small things like this is the difference between winning and losing.

3. Coaching

Eagles let Desean Jackson play from day one and he changed the face of that team. We didnt even give Felix the ball once in the Commander game. Not only this it was a struggle every week in giving him touches. If Felix didnt get hurt it might had been a frustrating season because we wouldnt use him. I still say if he stayed healthy we should had used him and barber like the Titans did with Johnson and White. Felix needs to start next year and Barber needs to come in as a sub and pound people. Like it or not but I think that would give us the most successful chance. Only problem is we dont have anybody on our team that has the guts to pull that off. Desean Jackson would be Stanbach if he was on this team. Miles Austin is a player but he cant stay healthy and the coaches never use him. Put Miles on SF and see what he does. Every time that guy gets his chance he always gets open. Remember the Raven game when Romo overthrew him. Just the small things.

the difference between us and the eagles are simple.

they have a defense coordinator from hell.

they have an offensive line from hell..

they have brian westbrook who i have the same respect for i had for darrell green from washington.

two of the best players in their position i've ever seen... even though they play for the enemy.

they play as a team.

Another thing about Dallas and the Eagles, is that any time now, both teams will be sitting at home without a trophy. That's the bottom line. I don't care if the Eagles beat the "mighty" Cardinals and go the SB. They WILL lose the last game they play every season.

The farther the season extends for the Eagles, the sweeter the loss.

Another difference between the Cowboys and the Eagles is that little pesky thing about FIVE RINGS VS. NO RINGS. Yeah, that's a little thing, but it IS A DIFFERENCE...........

Don't mention "The Dallas Cowboys" and "The Eagles" again in the same breath please. It's indecorous, disrespectful, and lacks merit. Mention the "Eagles" in conversations about the Vikings, Bills, and Seahawks. But please, leave them out of any honest conversation about the Dallas Cowboys......................

The biggest difference is that had Romo not gotten injured, we are most likely the ones in the post season, quite possibly losing the same game the Eagles will.

Oh goodness ... Yeah, the Eagles won some playoff games and are now in the NFC Championship game, but didn't they almost cash it in at mid season? McNabb was benched. They looked like they were on life support. I don't know that we need to spend much time praising the Eagles or trying to learn from them.

With parity and the length of the season, the NFL is no longer about having the best team .... it is about having the hottest team at the right time.

The Eagles, and the other three remaining teams, got hot at the right time.

That's my opinion, anyway.

Sort of looks like how you play the first 3/4's of the season does not matter all that much as long as you stay above .500; and that only if you are not in a really weak division. Then get hot in december and keep it up through January. Its looking more and more like we are doing the EXACT opposite= do real well till thanksgiving and then go into the tank. So we make the playoffs but are one and done. Or like this season get hot in Sept and then putz around for the entire rest of the year with one sort of warm spell 2/3 of the way through.

I am speechless...

Oh wait I got something.... "Preach on, brother... Preach on"

Good stuff. I have always said and will continue to say. The Eagles wont win the SB.

Donovan cant win it. Donovan is one of those players that just when you expect something from them - they let you down.

Get ready Philly.
Sports Radio is getting ready to flat out blast the heck out of McNabb.... again.

Even Donovans mom knows he cant win the big one.

McNabb - " Momma, why you always making me eat my chunky soup out of the can?"

Momma - " Well Donovan honey, every time you get near a bowl you choke."

Yup Ried benched McNabb. What he did was tell his players no matter the name on the jersey if you don't perform you sit.
Well Done by Ried. In Dallas Phillips let's you play based on the name on the jersey, no matter what you do on the field or off the field. no guts.

Really? We can hate the fact they are one game away from the SB but that's what it is. I would definitely think we could learn from them.

I disagree, the remaining teams got there through adjustments made and hard work. They play as a team. They kept distractions to a minimum.

The Eagles, and the other three remaining teams, got hot at the right time.

That's my opinion, anyway.

eagles were a better team down the stretch but benefited by significant LUCK and stars aligning in their favor. What would their record be if Donny had Tony's injury and missed 3 games?

Realize as TOTALLY inept as our coaches are, if Romo doesn't miss 3 games we probably go 2-1 instead of 1-2 in that span and lockup the playoffs.

It's funny how someone can't even give credit where credit is due.

The Eagles deserve our respect and even our envy. They're playing in the NFC Championship game, and we didn't even make the playoffs. We WISH we were in their position.

Don't choke on the haterade. It makes Cowboy fans very ugly.

Bull****.....................

The Eagles will NEVER get any props from me, let alone "respect" or "envy". Go to Philly and tell THEM to "give credit where credit is due", and see how far you get. That is, IF you get out of without serious bodily injury!!

Dallas had done MORE than enough to at least get their "respect". Yet, I've never heard ANY fan or ANY player from Philly say anything decent about the Dallas Cowboys. They win a division or two, a couple playoff games every other decade, and WE'RE supposed to kneel three times a day an pray to the East, Huh????
We got the 5 trophy's and, as a franchise, have got THEM dead to rights, and they can't wait to cheer and celebrate one of our players injured!!

So, call it "sinking to their level" or "don't be like them, be bigger", or whatever. But I'm allowed to "not respect" bottom-feeding, maggot eating, scum of the Earth folk like the Eagles and their fans.

I agree with what you say but it's a bit of an insult to the Bills to be compared to the Eagles, they didn't choke in Championship games!

I wouldn’t be so sure.

Something feels wierd about this season.

I think the Eagles are due. And i think it’s a good story and an amazing turnaround.

Was is this have to do with the Cowboys getting spanked by 38 points in the final game of the season? Wasn't Romo our QB for that game?

The difference is they are playing a one game tournament to get into the SB and are currently winning the game by one and we are sitting home.

The have better STs and a little bit better defense. Their offense is better as well.
