Differences on offense today

It was all tempo. Sometimes it was no huddle but even when they did huddle they got to the line at 20 seconds and didn’t let the defense rest until 1 left on the clock.

Dak was able to be more instinctual. Combine that with Zeke wearing them out and it’s the recipe to follow all season

I noticed this to a degree, but thinking back I should have noticed it even more than I did. We didn’t have to hurry to beat the play clock nearly as often as usual.

Dak possibly went off script (Ala Romo) and sent Zeke on a wheel/go route down the right sideline, huge play to help win the game. I doubt the coaches called that play..

I doubt Dak called that play. That wouldn’t be an audible type of play.

More shots down the field from Dak. (Accurate ones too), which opened up the running lanes for Zeke all game long.

O-line playing much better had a lot to do with it on thier own as well.

The absolute biggest difference between this game and the past 10 or so is the protection Dak received from the O-line. When Dak has decent protection he is a pretty damn good QB. If you look at his numbers in games with decent protection there pretty amazing, up there with the best in the league.
This offense is built around the o-line and when it plays poorly so does our offense. Our o-line troubles have had a major impact the past 11 or so games dating back to when Tyron when out last season. Dak isn't good enough YET to do it on his own and that's okay most 3rd year QBs aren't and he may not ever be able to and that's okay as well. As long as we know what kind of play he'll give us with a decent line and we can win than I am fine with it.

On football night in america Dak just said they practiced that play throughout the week and were looking for man to man from the defense with a linebacker on Elliott. It was by design.

Happy to be wrong, there’s One New Wrinkle!!!

They didn't drop a lot of balls
They didn't have a lot of penalties.

This allowed them to feed Zeke more.

Missing were a few things...

Play Action, Jet Sweeps and the three running plays that Dak should run every game at least once...

The Stephen Jones/Garrett Play Selection Quota:

1. RPO (3 or less per. game)
2. Play Actions (only 3 or less per. game)
3. Jet Sweeps (1 per. game, no more)
4. Rub Routes (Not yet approved)
5. Slants (3 or less per. game)
6. Pass to Austin deep (1 per. game)
7. Bootlegs (1. per. game)
8. Curl Routes (UNLIMITED)
9. 10 step Drop back pass (UNLIMITED)

this was already a big step forward.
lots of no huddle changed the tempo a lot and made defense much less comfortable

Lions dont have a big pass rush with Ansah missing,Clowney and Watt will eat us up .

They came out of the gate in hurry up and it helped everyone. Helped the line, helped Dak, helped Zeke.......misdirection, playaction, playing aggressive......did wonders.

yea we beat a BAD team
Well being we had the same record as they did? We are just as bad as they are. All we can do is hope is this is just part of the building block on having a successful season. The Champs lost to the Titans. I'm sure they would've loved to have beaten that team.

They slinged it. They made a conscious effort to go deep. Long ball to Gallup, Zeke and a perfect pass to Austin that hit his hand but dropped.
