Yes. It is just pre-season. The games don't mean anything. Your win-loss record means nothing at all. What does matter though, is how the team plays.

Talked all off-season so far about culture, physicality and discipline, yet showed none of that in this game. The worst thing I saw was your All-Pro WR getting trucked by a ref and getting a 15 yard penalty for basically being on the field. Then he gets up and players and coaches are just laughing with him. It was embarrassing to watch.

This is not the end of Brian Schottenheimer. He is just getting started but I wasn't impressed at all. Hopefully he turns it around.

ugh... are you ten? is this the first year you have watched football? Not much more to say to this nonsense.

He got the gig solely because he’s one of Jerry’s yes men, his only qualification is being part of the country club. No self-respecting, serious organization would have named that plug HC.

Guy’s an even bigger puppet than the clowns who came before him and will ensure things stay the same because that’s what Jerry and his low IQ son want. He’ll say all the right things to the media yet nothing will change on the field because guess what, he’s a spineless phony whose only role is to kiss the ring and keep the bosses happy.

The losing circus show culture is here to stay, were you actually expecting something more? LOL.

The internet gave us many good things.

Giving clueless people a platform to voice their opinions was not one of them.

All-Pro WR getting trucked
The comedian in me would have loved the idea of Lamb getting hurt in an attempt to keep him on the sideline and safe. The Cowboys fan in me was very happy and relieved he was okay.

For real though, that would have been such a Dallas Cowboys thing that Lamb gets hurt by the ref on the sideline because the coach didn’t play him to avoid injury.

A coach can not turn around a crappy GM.

We basically have the same team. We replaced players that left in the draft. Booker for Martin. I love the pick, but does that make us better.

The only player we added was GP and I am sure he will make an impact.

If everyone gets and stays healthy we limp into the playoffs, but this is not a playoff contending team.

It is entertainment. Laugh at CD for being stupid. Laugh at replacing Trance with Bazooka Joe. That is all that you can do at this point.

Quite some time ago I remember people in the NY area getting excited because the Jets went 5-0 in preseason. Beating the Eagles twice. Then they proceeded to go 4-12. This was a time starters played the first quarter.

For perspective— Dan Campbell’s first year in Detroit was 3-13-1 and then he went 9-8.

You may be overreacting a smidge based on a preseason game.

Schotty is the hire. You may have wanted someone else. But at least give the guy an honest period of work before evaluating him in totality.

A first time HC is gonna at least get 2-3 years to try and establish his culture. Rome wasn’t built in a day lol

It does not matter who our coach is. Coin Flip Jerry is still in charge.

You simply don’t take a ton from preseason games

I could take the presnap penalties as an issue

I could take cb performance and DT as an issue

I could also take bazooka joe lack of accuracy as an issue but it’s only a preseason game and perhaps some of those issues can be shored up

I would have Gilmore on speed dial

I also like Mafah and the prospect of having him and Blue together makes me smile. But some how I think the coaches will lean toward the vets

He was too busy getting emotional and crying before the game!

I hope Brian Schottenheimer can have some success here. I don't expect he can fix the issue that ailes this franchise. He seems like a nice dude, but being nice is never going to fix the issues this franchise has. Some of the things he won't ever be able to fix because of the dysfunction created by the GM. But the things he can fix like discipline on the field - a nice guy isn't going to fix that.

Totally agree. Same stuff, different year. Lather, rinse, repeat.
