Different Coach. Same Team!

I am not over reacting to the preseason game. I'm chillin. Cool as a fan. I don't care about what the final score was. I care about how the team actually plays. Are there penalties? Are they moving the ball? How are they on both lines of scrimmage. THAT is what is important in preseason games. None of it looked good last night. Which is fine since it is game 1. Hopefully he improves and the team does as well.
They have a long way to go. But we knew that after they finished 7-10 last year.

My expectations for this team are low. New HC. No RB. No one to stop the run. Injuries in the secondary. LT looks super shaky. Contract distractions. Ultra competitive division and conference. Injury prone overpaid QB.

This team looks like a 7-9 win team to me. I hope I am wrong and they are better than the sum of their parts, but I would rather be pleasantly surprised than predictably disappointed

It seems like no matter who the Cowboys have at HC the penalties never stop. The problems we keep seeing seem to carry over from one HC to another. Like I keep saying as long as Jerry Jones is running the team the HC isn’t going to matter.

Yes. It is just pre-season. The games don't mean anything. Your win-loss record means nothing at all. What does matter though, is how the team plays.

Talked all off-season so far about culture, physicality and discipline, yet showed none of that in this game. The worst thing I saw was your All-Pro WR getting trucked by a ref and getting a 15 yard penalty for basically being on the field. Then he gets up and players and coaches are just laughing with him. It was embarrassing to watch.

This is not the end of Brian Schottenheimer. He is just getting started but I wasn't impressed at all. Hopefully he turns it around.
You could have made 1000 points that I would’ve agreed with. The fact that you chose the Ceedee sideline thing to base your post on, HAH.

lamb is a spoiled idiot, nothing shotty could do to prevent that this time.
As for what you see during the game, these are all bkups, or guys who wont make the team.
The other stuff should show up in reg season games.

Dallas bkups etc are just not that good, and shotty wasnt good with plays and game plan for the guys he had on the field.
I thought about it a PS is hard, when you dont want to show any good or new plays or formations,
and your talent level for bkups isnt very good, hard to make a good showing. plus milton was awful
and shotty should have had him doing simple plays like rams had.
Maybe give milton a tranquilizer before the game to calm him down lol.

He got the gig solely because he’s one of Jerry’s yes men, his only qualification is being part of the country club. No self-respecting, serious organization would have named that plug HC.

Guy’s an even bigger puppet than the clowns who came before him and will ensure things stay the same because that’s what Jerry and his low IQ son want. He’ll say all the right things to the media yet nothing will change on the field because guess what, he’s a spineless phony whose only role is to kiss the ring and keep the bosses happy.

The losing circus show culture is here to stay, were you actually expecting something more? LOL.

Well it is way too early to say all that lol. 1 ps game and you already know? lol
I think you made up your mind long ago.

The way people were talking about this culture change Im sure people were expecting to play like the Rams. Everyone elses backup QBs look like they're good enough to start for Dallas also.

When is the last time the Cowboys didn't play like crap in their first preseason game? It's kinda what they do.
Always looking like crap in the preseason maybe, just maybe, has a correlation to not contending in 30 years.

Jerry doesn't value wins, coaches, certain positions, is lazy, and doesn't take his job as GM seriously. Thus, we never have any depth, and we never contend.

Bingo! If Schottenheimer was changing the culture regardless of who is out there they would of looked better. The Rams had all backups looked solid.

In before this goes off the rails fast!

I only recognized a few players. I think the entire third string was out there.
