I think he is capable of it. I do not know whether he will or not. I think if they traded Dak, he would play several more years barring debilitating injury.

I do not believe he is any more susceptible to injury than any other player. I do not buy into that narrative that he is more brittle than any other player.

Never in a million years would I go for it.

I believe we have found our future franchise QB and potentially the best QB in the league over the next 5 years.

The biggest reason why Romo has not been traded is because of his injury history. Teams are timid to sign a 37-year old QB that has played next to no football in the past 18 months after multiple injuries to his back. They are not only afraid he will get injured, but they have seen very little tape on him the past 18 months due to his lack of playing time.

So, why would I trade away our young, healthy and uninjured QB and bank on Romo staying healthy?

I would need a lot more than draft picks as well. I would need current players that I think could step right in and be ready to go and have a proven track record. Cleveland doesn't have that.

You would just about have to sell me the entire Cleveland franchise for fish heads and rice for me to even have a glancing thought about trading Dak.

If the Cowboys truly believe he is a superstar franchise QB then I would not trade him period, end of story

I would think if people around the league thought Romo had 3-4 years left in him then he'd have already been traded.

This isn't to say you're wrong, time will tell, but from the actions of others I'd say you're strongly on the optimistic side of things.

I believe Romo is worth more than a first if he is healthy. But let's say you are the Texans or Denver.

A 3rd round pick, while valuable, has about a 40 percent chance of actually playing out their first contract (In guessing. Getting a true impact player in the 3rd round is even less likely.

Is Romo a risk? Yes. But a pick also carries risk with it too.

With Romo you risk his health (even though he is no more of an injury risk than another player his age) but you aren't really risking whether he can play at a high level. You already know he can do that.

For me, it would require both of Cleveland's number one this year and their first next year. Next year's QB class should look a lot better and increase our chances of finding the QB of the future.
