So stupid! That’s like saying considering his running ability Brady is a top 15 QB!

By far a CB’s most important job is defending the pass. Diggs does need to improve his effort when tackling, but with his ball skills he is a top 10 CB easy!

You must not watch much football to say easy top 10 and pay him big bucks. Clown! You were sayin the same thing about Zeke a while ago too i bet!!

The following is from a Jan 30th article about the upcoming SF playoff game. "The tape is out on Trevon Diggs as well. He may be able to boast a 1.7 missed tackle percentage this season, but that’s only because avoids tackling. Diggs is an extremely disinterested tackler who would much rather play a ball in the air than a ball on the ground."

Again, it's overblown with his tackling. 4 guys had more tackles than Diggs including Surtain who had just 1 more tackle.

So him having X number of tackles isn't really the point. The question is why was he refusing to engage later in the season and how does that impact his long term worth to the club.

You are & will die on this hill Irv because it simply isn't something that's debatable. It was very clear during games and as I posted it was being openly discussed well outside the "zone". The 49ers beat us in 21 by being more physical and ultimately Diggs lack of willingness to be physical may have very well been the difference in 22.

So now you are saying he may indeed have fallen off later in the year? BTW, I'm only busting your chops because of post #104 where you implied we were making it up.

It's only overblown if it was an anamoly. If it wasn't, then the zone might very well be ruing another contract in a few years.

Diggs is overrated

That’s why I would be subtly evaluating the market for him in a trade. If you get an offer you can’t refuse, pull the trigger on it.
