Is he really 275 lbs? He was listed at about 250 lbs at the combine. I know guys tend to put on some weight in the pros, but I didn't think he really had the frame for that much weight gain. Not that 260-265 lbs would be small.

thanks God you're not a GM...throwing draft picks around as if they're candy

No kidding.

Me thinking: "Maybe I would give a 3rd for Adrian Peterson... Nah, prolly not."

So the likelihood of me wanting to give *any* pick for Dion Jordan is about the same as Claiborne accidentally cloning a velociraptor.

It completely depends on what Miami wants. It depends on where Jordan is right now with regards his his past troubles. There shouldn't be a big issue with his contract as he is still on his rookie deal. If I'm Stephen I'm making some calls to get all the answers to make a educated decision.

Damn. You guys wanting to throw draft picks around willy-nilly. Let's trade some picks for Dion. And, let's trade some picks for Adrian Peterson. Oh, I know! Let's trade a pick for Manziel too!

We have screamed for years about Jerry Jones throwing draft picks away like they were nothing. Now that they are actually trying to build through the draft, like successful teams, you guys want to go back to the old way of doing things. SMDH. You guys crack me up.

College production. Oh, yeah, and three sacks at the pro level. Guys with 3 sacks in their career pretty much do grow on trees. Hell, we could have just resigned Spencer. At least Spencer didn't have to rely on steroids for his production.

Jordan had great production in college but he get him out of college and start testing him for steroids and his production goes belly up. That is not a coincidence. At this point, I would not give a wooden nickel for the guy.

He has played in 26 NFL regular season games and has posted 3 sacks....................also been busted for juicing............drafted 3rd overall in 2013

If that does not scream BUST, I don't know what does......................and you guys want to trade for that?

i'd give a 4th for him...possibly a 3rd. could we afford him? He has a top 3 contract right? I know its not as bad as it used to be but still enough to dig into our cap

No way any picks that high. Would need to be conditional picks. But also need to know his cap numbers before anything else. And would need to be a 2016 pick if conditional., and no higher than a 5th to start.

I would probably trade for Dijon mustard before trading for Dion.

Claiborne for a bottle of grey poupon is definitely doable.

Nice, and better than the worn out ....bag of chips...or ... coakley....deals.
Or the overused term JAG, as in this case JAG for JAG....

If he becomes a free agent and wants to come here on a make good deal then sure I am willing to take a flier. Nothing more than that though. You don;t get ahead by paying more than the minimum for other team's detritus.

See Randy Moss in New England after trade from Oakland

I live in Miami, so I'm fairly familiar with that situation. Here's the thing with Jordan: he hasn't " grown up ". Possibly he never will now that he has enough money not to work a day for the rest of his life ( then again, he might blow it all anyways ). He's one of these players that, if by chance, being Dallas or somewhere else, the light bulb goes on, whomever has him will benefit tremendously.

6th rounder, 7th rounder ? Sure, why not. Just to give him " another chance ". Anything else ? Pass..

Sometimes guys just need a change of scenery and a new coaching staff and philosophy. People were saying Jerry Hughes was a worthless bust too after 3 seasons (40 games) with 4 total sacks in Indy. Then he goes to Buffalo and becomes a pro bowler. Sometimes you have to take a chance to find a cheap (still on rookie contract) diamond in the rough.

Yeah but he had a history of being good. Phenomenal even. Jordan has three sacks and multiple suspensions to his name. The two are apples and oranges.

And he has played alongside a good defensive group. He has some help in the players around him and only has produced 3 sacks.

The only thing I can really say in his defense is, he's been playing out of position. His build and athleticism would lead some to believe he would be an adept OLB, but he really only does one thing well, speed rush with his hand in the dirt. He's an absolute enigma right now. I've also heard one of his biggest issues in Miami has been his weight. No matter what they've done, he hasn't been able to put on and keep weight on.

Claiborne for Dion straight up, after the draft if we take a DB, would sound about right.
