DirecTV or Dish?

I tried once but they called by bluff. :( I wouldn't worry. If you pulled it off last year you should be able to do it again. I have rotten luck so I probably got the anti-customer service reps.

I actually canceled DirecTV recently. Already was using OTA w/ Tivo, Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. Signed up for Playstation Vue and save $110 a month over what I was spending already.

With you there most definitely. That's what I do at my place too outside of the Playstation Vue, so may have to look into that too. Good look.

I found negotiating with them with AT&T was more difficult. Thankfully this year I have cut the cord with AT&T internet (got Google fiber now), and my 2 year contract from moving is now up, so they have no leverage on me. I should be able to get a good deal this year.

Well started to go to Dish found out they don't have wireless 4K as they stated on the phone so cancelled them. Call DirecTV back you're not going to believe what they gave me free installation 7 receivers three of them Wireless 1 4 k free NFL Sunday Ticket Max a $200 gift certificate and lowered my bill $50 a month from where I used to be finally I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. As far as 4k goes I don't think there's enough programming to make it worth your while yet also you have to have Neuer cable throughout your house otherwise they won't install it. And while DirecTV claims they can have multiple 4K TVs their Tech just told me they've discovered they can only run one TV per household on 4K. Thanks for the help everybody and by the way it took 3 calls to DirecTV before I finally got somebody willing to give me all the goodies so don't give up keep trying

I am pretty sure you can run multiple 4ks at once, do you have the HR-54 model main genie and the 4k lnb? I am a dtv tech and this is the first I have heard of this

I'm just going by what the installer said. He said they had a conference call the day before he came to my house and said they could only run one TV at 4K. But hey I yield to you

Not trying to correct you or anything so don't take it wrong, just trying to figure out if they gave you all to correct equipment and stuff cause I have done multiple 4K set ups and had to test a few weeks back to get 4k certified and I have never heard anything anything about only being able to run 1 tv. Did he give you 4k equipment for every room or just the 1? Are you running 4k genie clients or rvu? (Built into tv).

I suspect he might have been short on 4K equipment.

You may be right, I only have one 4k tv right now, so at the old house I had one 4k tv and 2 other 4k minis, along with the base unit, as I planned to add more 4ks, but they were just hooked to HD tvs for now. At this house 3 rooms don't have cable so I had to go back to wireless minis.

So he was saying at the old house I couldn't have had more than one 4k, or it wouldn't have worked. Anyway I still have the 4k wired minis as I paid 99$ for them, and I still have the same base unit so if I ever get the rooms wired I will be set. The only new piece of equipment was the wireless bridge.

I appreciate the info, and my wife corrects me all the time. lol
