Since Day 1? You weren't here for the draft. I don't believe you ever said that :)

He's playing well with the Jets.

Not sure he would have beat out Gurode or Johnson. Then again, maybe he would have given us the opportunity to move Gurode back to OG, and kick Old Man Rivera back to GB.

No he wouldn't of.

Jerry said in the offseason that they would never throw another rookie out their on the o-line again as a starter.

Looks like everyone is pretty down with Carp's play. He hasn't been in the field much.

Some say it's the quality of our LB's. Some say his inability to beat out a Special Teams player. Others say it's the move from OLB to ILB.

Reviewing the draft tracker,

http://www.nfl.com/draft/drafttracker/round/round1

DeAngelo Williams (RB)
- this kid is lighting it up. But with JJ and MBIII (and Tyson Thomson), would this pick have made sense?

Wouldn't have been wise to pick him up, since we have 2 solid backs in Jones and Barber, already (unless the Jones trade rumors were correct).

Williams has looked good in limited action (Deshaun Foster is the starter), but he has missed the last 2 or 3 games with a bum ankle. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if he ends this season as the starting RB. He SHOULD be the #1 back in Carolina next season, though, if he keeps up what he has done.

I guess the point of my thread has been lost ... there are several impact players taken in the 1st round who are making waves with other teams. But these same players (as I've listed) MAY have gotten lost in the Cowboy line-up ... just like Carp has.

Inquiring minds want to know. :)

Yeah, bury Carp.

Like you all did with Bradie James.

Like you all did with Romo.

You're instant gratification is nauseating.

Carp = 1st rounder

James = 4th rounder

Romo = URFA

Jack, if you believe that 1st rounders have the right NOT to be on the field then so be it.

Now I understand this is coming from someone that in another thread is quoted as saying "we haven't won a game against any nfc team yet."

Perhaps you should be in there clarifying that position.

Sorry, I've got some patience. Sorry, I've seen this kind of knee jerking 'bust' or 'boom' prematurely before. Sorry, I've seen this kind of whining before about things YOU don't see that could be going on behind the scenes.

And finally, I do see when you draft a OLB and move him to an inside spot mainly because of the pleasant surprise our veteran (Ellis) became, could be a factor in the prcoess.

But by all means, feel free to jump.

I thought Kiwanuka would make a great OLB in the 3-4, but then I was shouted down, told I didn't understand the 3-4 and lectured about how we needed a "complete" LB like Carpenter to play on the outside (not a converted DE).

Then a coverted DE Greg Ellis was moved to starting OLB, Carpenter was moved inside and Kiwanuka looks like a star in the making.

Hmm, let's think about this one for a sec. What's wrong with the statement that we haven't beaten an NFC East team yet? We haven't. We are what we are ... winless in our own division. You want to argue that point? Go ahead.

Secondly, you miss my entire point ... you're so arrogant in your drivel that you fail to see that my point was because of our depth, few of the top impact first rounders would not possibly have the same impact if drafted a Cowboy.

All you read was DISAPPOINTED IN CARP, and you blew your lid.

Read between the lines my friend.

More so, for some reason, it's OK for a 1st rounder to lose a backup spot to an undrafted player? Sollie chollie. That's is NOT ok.

Then again, I give up ... arguing on the internet is like the Special Olympics, even if you win, you're still in the Special Olympics.

So a win doesn't count. What kind of stats are going by?

Don't hijack the thread.

I'm backtracking. :)

I simply didn't even consider the Skins as part of the NFC East. But we should have ended their season last week.

Hijack the thread.. the guy pointed out where you were wrong and you dismiss it with.. "it doesn't count" and now you're saying that you don't consider them part of the NFC East.

I guess they must be like Notre Dame and be independent and be in a conference all their own huh.

Many people would simply admit that they were wrong in that statement rather than continue to make crap up and continue to look more and more foolish.
