People have their narratives and they will continue to pimp them as they don’t want to be wrong

The cowboys have not had a good enough roster to win it all since 16 IMO.

Even then the defense was suspect. (I hate Byron jones lol.)

I think having an elite qb helps but I’d say being good in the trenches is more important

Jerry jones is the biggest reason we have been playoff failure. IMO he refuses to let someone more qualified take the gm role

He makes me sick which is why I have tempered expectations annually

So I think our 2023 team.....was probably our most complete team we were good at all facets of the game.

But the issue is there is some stuff you can't avoid. You have to be able to stop the run in this league. You have to be able to run the football. The two biggest weaknesses of ours. Just crucial.

Rinse and repeat. And now it looks like the Cowboys are going to run it back yet again this year. And stupidly expect different results.

But the issue is there is some stuff you can't avoid. You have to be able to stop the run in this league. You have to be able to run the football. The two biggest weaknesses of ours. Just crucial.

In the playoffs the great defenses don't let you run in the playoffs. I promise you James cook won't sniff 100 next week against the chiefs. And we stopped the run decently against niners in 2022. Our issue was mentality but you never want to accept that answer. Lol when players say football is largely mental it's the truth

He definitely was more at fault in that one but like, how much offensive help do people think we'd need? Put Jefferson with ceedee too. How does it change? Niners we're playing zone so it's not like wrs are able to do much. If anything to help Dak the most get him an all world oline, second a defense, third a running back. Last is receivers. I wouldn't get him any pass catchers this year.

I just think most fans don't understand how Dallas can get the most out of Dak. A "good enough" defense ain't it

Not sure what you mean i'm one of the people that tells you look at the last 28 years...the country club mentality and culture is a big part of the issue. But I went to go and look and see how we were agains the run because I don't remember us ever being good against the run......though you said "decently" as if that's good.

I'm reminded by the 240 yards the Chicago Bears gave us....then the following week the 207 rushing yards the Packers gave us, the 192 rushing yards the Packers gave us.....

"Decent" is a interesting way to put it.

Dak doesn't need a All World line. He made the Pro last year with a above average one last year.

Every team in the league has a bad record against good teams, that is just how it is. And Dallas record was among the best during this time. They didn't have easier schedules than every other team. There are many reasons why this team hasn't won big, and they all start with the GM.
