He said if Philly loses one more. We can lose one more game as long as it is Miami, our most likely loss by far, as long as Philly loses ANY game including AZ. I didn’t realize that until he mentioned it.
Actually yes because then we would tie in common games and then we would win with better Conference record.

Actually it matters, because they beat Miami. Check it out we lost to SF they lost to SF that's a wash, we lost to each other wash, they lost to Seattle (we beat them, puts us up 1), they lost to Jets (we beat them, puts us up 2), we lost to Buffalo (they beat them, puts us up 1) That's where it is right now.

But if we lose to Miami it's tied because they beat Miami, however if they beat Arizona they win the common opponents tiebreaker because we lost to Arizona. So losing to Miami can cost us the division. The game that really matters the least is Detroit because they don't play Detroit.

I think the best chance for us to win a tiebreaker is they lose one game to Giants and we beat Washington then we have better division record.
Division record is the 2nd tiebreaker. If Cowboys beat Washington and Philly loses to Giants. Cowboys win division.

It doesn’t matter what game Philly loses as long as the Cowboys go 2-1 and beat Washington.

Nope the Giants are in the division. Eagles could beat Arizona 100-0. like I said we win division if we beat det and wash and they lose to anyone.
This is correct. Good call. I used to be good at figuring this stuff out but I was incomplete =p

Nope, again if Cowboys lose to Miami and beat Detroit and Washington and Eagles beat Giants twice and lose to Arizona that means they would be tied head to head, tied for division record but then Philly would win due to better record in common games.

This is the tiebreaker order, after head to head and division comes common games. We are up 1 now but if we lose to Miami we're tied and then if they beat Arizona they win common records.

Two Clubs

  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory in all games.
  6. Strength of schedule in all games
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss
Stop dude it’s right in front of you. You’re not thinking it out right. You’ve been wrong all night bro. You’re not even arguing with me at this point you’re arguing with every playoff machine out there.

I'm just going to hope that if we have the same record they lose one game to the Giants and we beat Washington. We then win division record, simple.

I know I caught my mistake because i said if they lose to Arizona then I was using common games as how they would win but that would require they beat Arizona.

Are we sure we can beat Washington @ Washington? Sorry but we suck on the road and we lost to Arizona.

Crazy scenario: they lose out, we lose out. We win the division due to better division record.

Funny that their next two games matter more than our next two games…..for us. We will lose the Miami game if it somehow changes the polarity of the earth and causes the eagles to lose to NYG.

Ok I'm actually using playoff machine now instead of trying to do it in my head late at night (apologize)

The most important thing is division but after that we want 2 seed, but Detroit could still take it from us and give us the 3 seed by simply beating us. We need to win that game or else they would have to lose both games to Minnesota for us to get 2 seed. It could be the difference in playing on the road or at home in the second round. 1 seed is also possibly but 49ers would need to lose 2 more games and we would have to win out and have Philly lose 1 game next week they face Ravens at home but their other games are Rams and Washington. I would say they're most likely going to get the #1 seed.
