My lawyer is starting a divorce action against my wife.

Of all the lawyers my wife hired, she hired a lawyer (female) who is divorced and paying support. She is a man hater. Thankfully my lawyer doesn't care. She does a lot of legal aid work. This is a dark day when I have to sue my wife...

Best of luck with everything, lukin. Keep us informed and buy some Green Bay referees to over see the proceedings. Pay them well and they'll flag her for everything imaginable. That was not a legal court move, $500 fine. Lawyer speaking out of turn, $300 penalty and loss of appeal.

Just try to stay out of court as much as you can. That's my biggest advice. You are the man, and are immediately guilty of everything she says unless she has priors, a druggie, or has diagnosed medical issues. Best of luck.

I got off easy in my divorce. Dummy didn’t even show up, but still cost me 10k for my attorney and I had to pay 700 a month for 9 months for her health insurance, but she didn’t get a dime from me or property. Good luck sir.

You got off really easy and my ex and I had an amicable divorce rofl. I could probably buy a house outright with what I had to pay her and give her from the marriage.

It finally ended back in July of this year though.

Yep..the county I live in the woman has to be a meth addict or an abuser to not get all of the mans stuff..its brutal. I bought our house with help from my folks, spent 80k fixing it up, she got it and made six figures and I didn't see one thin dime.

Marriage is a relatively new institution. Nature never meant a man and woman to be together forever.
You marry, you give up 50% of your wealth. You lose your freedom. Then the wife is angry cause you spent $50 on beer, chips and salsa with your pal.
Then one day, you look 3 seconds too long at a young woman and she is sullen the rest of the week.

I have a bunch of nasty stories.

One work collegue, who was blindly in love with his wife of 20 years, got hammered in his divource.

She quit her job and never worked a day, even after their kid was in school.
He did much if the cooking and paid fir house cleaning
Shed come home at 3am and say shed been out with girlfriends. He was tough otherwise but a sap with her.
Finally, in one fit of rage, she told him she had slept with over 30 men during their marriage and was still going to take everything.

She did get about 70% plus 3 years of alimony
