Sorry for your circumstances. Relationships are hard. A lot of people suggest jumping into a new relationship right away, but sometimes that is the worst advice. I think people need time between relationships. Time for introspection. Time for healing. Time to decide what it is you want out of a relationship going forward. For some people being single sucks, but being in a bad relationship is torture.
At 49 it may be worth a warning to beware of women going into menopause. That can be a frightening experience for husbands and boyfriends!
