DLaw alienating Cowboys fans?

I guess people just spew their same old little cliches. Doesn't matter if it's true or not.

This is true, some really despise this organization where they see nothing they like about it. I wonder why they even bother but hey each to their own. Maybe some just like being miserable

Why take it personally? I’d be upset if he demanded a trade or something but he’s just negotiating a contract. Is he asking for too much? Yes. Will he end up taking less at some point? Yes.

True it is not personal. He can ask for what ever he wants, my point is Dallas does not have to pay it. In the end I do think they will hammer out a deal.

How about the guy that said the franchise tag was similar to slavery? Lol that one was my favorite
How in the world do these guys mislead themselves into making such stupid comments?

You know what? We are all slaves to our jobs. If you want to misuse the term "slaves". The real term that should be used is responsibility. So, when you hear this trash, what they're really saying is that they don't want to be responsible.

If I was the Cowboys, I wouldn't even talk to him till he fixes that shoulder. If Dlaw wants to live with that shoulder let him live with it, permanently.....without the 20m.
I think as time goes by..

the leverage of the surgery disappears.

At somepoint..

it will reverse itself on Tank and he will start losing paychecks over it.

To go thru such a long time without any income..

would be eye-opening.

I do not think the team is going to sign a poison-pill contract knowing he might miss as much as 6 games recovering.

Makes no sense.

DLaw's hardline stance may result in him losing favor with Cowboys fans even if he signs a contract.

Only the ignorant ones who do not understand or acknowledge the business side of football.

Unless it is revealed that the Cowboys are offering him shotty deal, he will come across as a selfish player not concerned about having a good team around him.
If he signs a deal in the $20 million per year range, fans will accept that and scrutinize him but he will be scrutinized more if he get's a deal above the other top DE's.
It's hard to garner sympathy when you're complaining about being disrespected at only making $20 mill a year.
At $20 mill, the fan expectations will be high but if he were to get paid as the top DE, we will expect all-world domination. $20 mill is the going rate for top 5 DE's but being the Top Dog will require no excuse Freakish performance.
We all know that he is just below that Mack/Von Miller level.
It will be interesting to see if it's the avg per year or the guaranteed $ that is the hold up. He may be willing to accept the $20 mill range but just wants a huge guarantee.
no but 20 threads a day is alienating me from some fans.

I will forever respect D-Law for standing by his convictions. Tank is not somebody that just goes with the flow, he loves his teammates and fans but his obligation should be to himself first.

In my view he's selfish. The contract they've offered he should have jumped on it.

Players shouldn’t worry about fans. Fans always complain about something. Get your money and play well and that will shut up any doubters.

This is the part I don’t understand about today’s nfl. Why do they need Agents? Can’t they sign a contract and read over the terms by them selves?
Funny.
But sad when, according to varying estimates, 70% of college players dont graduate and can barely write a sentence.

If you feel alienated by a player trying to get the most out of billionaire ownership, then you need to critically examine your beliefs.

DLaw should have gotten the surgery as soon as our season was over, waiting till you get paid to get your labrum fixed is not cool.

This is what is bugging me. If he was totally healthy, he has every right to ask for whatever he wants. Key word is "if healthy".

Regardless, even with the injury, the team still offered him $20 million a season with reports around $70 guaranteed. Tank said no.

That should tell you all you need to know.

Anyone who thinks giving "Tank" what he wants will be a good thing for the Cowboys is kidding themselves.
