It just seems whenever the team needs a game changing play it usually is DLaw. Yesterday, right before half he deflects the pass that turns into an interception. Team never looked back after that play. He has done this all season long and doesn't get much of any credit. In my opinion, he is the team's defensive MVP this season.

Yes yes and yes the man is one of those players on this team that seem to have its own little hate club constantly wanna try to get rid of him try to get rid of tyrant try to get rid of Prescott I mean even zeke we could go back to possibly maybe we should have brought him back but everyone wanted him gone these little pockets of haters don't really appreciate some of these players and they really should and he took a contract restructure maybe even a pay cut and he's still playing really well just because he doesn't have the big sack numbers don't mean he's not one of the best three down players on our defense...

that said, Now I got to give some credit to Parsons, I know he's deemed the best player on our defense but he was lacking in the run game effort in my opinion but the last four games they've had him play 50-50 playing some off the ball linebacker and he's getting better in the run game right at the right time... so I don't wanna say he's the best defensive player on our team but it's nice to have your bookend defensive ends both being impact players recently...

Love his hard (almost) thankless work. Love watching him chase down a runner almost better than any of our LBers. Like thunder!

He is not even in the same universe as Parsons. Teams treat him like he is Dorance Armstrong or Fowler.

Yep. DLaw, along with a few offensive lineman, I worry about how we replace these guys. Next man up doesn't work here.

I agree, according to the eye test, he is just as good as and better in certain phases of the game than "micah i almost got to the quarterback, but when a critical play is needed, i usually dont get there, and cerainly not if a run stop is needed parsons"

Parsons plays much better off the ball as he can run and chase, rather then take on big tackles. Teams have used his over aggressiveness as a pass rusher against him. Win the early downs and Parsons can them go rush the passer.

DLaw has that ability to play his best when the game is on the line. Everyone gave Parsons credit on that final play against the Seahawks, but it was actually DLaw who blew up the screen behind him that made their QB no where to go on the play.

Lawrence went for years being basically the only threat we had (I mean, we tried to line up Taco Charlton at the other end for Pete's sake), facing a huge amount of double teams with fickle fans fussing about his contract and play. It's good to see him getting a chance to benefit from the attention drawn by Parsons.

DLaw is the most reliably consistent defensive player IMO. Parsons is by far the most talented and makes the most eye popping plays. But the Lawman is just good every snap and can affect the run and pass game.

Too many fans here only see sacks as the definitive defensive talent. And sacks are huge. But DLaw is disruptive to both running and passing; just doesn’t have big sack numbers. But he’s really good against the run. And makes big plays in big moments.

He‘s probably the most underrated player on this team.

Yeah but in my opinion he hasn't been sold on that himself he literally seemed to not be interested in going after the runners from any position and he all he wanted was sacs and he was crying about not getting the holding calls and he seemed to be a little down from game to game but the last four games he seems to be more positive he seems to be on board with being an off the ball linebacker at least 50% of most games and he seems to be more aggressive in tackling the runner... I think it took him a while to realize he wasn't going to get 19 to 20 sacks this year..

I know that's what he wants he wants to be considered one of the best and you gotta get in that range to be a true defensive end but once he settled in I think he's playing better then he has his whole career right now so he's now the last four games looking like we hoped he would...

Look I don't need to be sold I've been supporting tank since day one I get called a Homer because I try to get people to look for the NFL from the inside out...

instead of what they're trying to look at in stats and hype and people can appreciate some of The Dirty work that some of these players do they didn't appreciate zeke who cares if he was starting to crumble and get beat up he brought a lot to this team even the last two years when he wasn't at his best as a runner The Dirty things that he did for this team showed up this year that we didn't have it...

Here's going to be an issue with the front office figuring out how much to pay this guy I think they thought he was almost done he restructured his contract took a pay cut much like Tyron Smith and then here we are with both of them having one of their better years So what are you going to do with them?? How much can you afford to pay these aging players even if they're playing well you can't extend it out too far and then it backfire when they fall off the Cliff..

Most underrated player by fans
DLAW was beloved until he made a huge mistake. Held out for top 3 DE pay and refused to get surgery until the contract was done. He's a very good player and needed to be paid, no doubt. Around 15 mil would've been a great contract for both him and the team. Instead, he chickenpooped the whole thing and made everyone think a lot less of him. That's what caused him to be hated by fans.
