DLaw no call

Look I’ve sworn off the NFL, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys a dozen times since 1995. Every time I say I’m done, I know I don’t mean it. I’ve taken a few games off at most.

Our family gathers in the living room on game day . I usually cook something nice. It’s an event here.

We invest more than cash as fans. The NFL is our real national pass time. And, we deserve better.

It is a serious character flaw from which I suffer as well .. since 1965.

Because getting a hold called is at best 50-50. This is why there is holding on every play because the OLine can usually get away with it because it is hard for the ref to see that specific penalty with the chaos of the scrum and him having to look at multiple blockers. Basically if you looked at every NFL game you would probably see about 20 missed holding calls in a game easily.
Perhaps but DLaw was the only player we had in the end zone and not one ref saw he was held? Please...

This take isn’t acceptable to me.

This year I’ve purchased 5 tickets, stadium food and drink, parking, a jersey, a few hats, Sunday Ticket…maybe some other things. I’ve spent $3k+ on the NFL this year. I’m sure that’s pocket change compared to some people here.

For what we spend collectively on the NFL we should expect the officiating to be professional and consistent.

Exactly, as with any other purchase, we should expect top quality. Not just from the team we cheer for, but the refs too because their calls can influence a game.

All the teams get together to discuss the atrocious officiating. Everyone looks around and notices GB, Pittsburg, Patriot's and now Bucs missing.

Sorry we didnt get the memo

I know exactly which play you are speaking of. It absolutely was a missed call. There were multiple other holds on our DL that weren’t called. However, I don’t believe this was in the end zone. I’d like to see if again to get another look but I think you are mistaken.

This is what irks me. When the calls are inconsistent. When they call one team and then not the other for the same type of hold.

They also missed a defensive holding on a Cowboys running play. The Cardinals DT held Connor Williams as he was trying to get to the second level and prevented him from getting to the LB to block him. It turned out the LB made the tackle for no gain. The hold was very obvious from the end zone camera behind the Cardinals defense and in line with where an official would be positioned to look for those holds. Was it a big deal? Probably not and those calls are missed all the time.

There were a couple of holding from behind calls. The fumble they missed was awful though.

I tend not to get too sensitive about holding because I do believe every play could result in a holding call, but potential change of possession I will get my hackles up for.

Turnovers can win games. Everyone in football knows this.

While the missed fumble on the last drive was a killer, let's not forget another bit of shenanigans earlier in the game. DLaw was pressuring Murray in the endzone and was clearly held in the endzone as the lineman grabbed and held his jersey. This was called on Schultz later in the game, but it was not called here. This should have resulted in a safety, thus bringing the score to 3-2. This also would have been important as we'd get the ball in great position, especially considering the way we were returning the ball on kick returns.
DLaw was held on that play and it was the most obvious hold of the day. I hate to blame the refs, but it seems Dallas gets called for a lot of holding calls that aren't called on other teams.
