Man what a crabby bunch. Romo throwing well is good no matter where it occurs.

No kidding. Padless has zero to do with Romo honing or maybe changing up mechanics. Looknig crisp is looking crisp.

He could be in his back yard throwing thru a tire.

Well in terms of throwing yes. Just wanna see how our improved d matches up with our OL and how Romo looks behind it. That's all. Just excited for training camp when the real stuff begins.

Same here. A little nervous about the running game.

I'd like to see the numbers but I'd be very surprised if there were more overall injuries without pads.

Well I think he meant that practicing without pads can eventually lead to more injuries later on like in training camp or the regular season (not more injuries during the actual no-pads practices) since their bodies weren't as conditioned for it earlier in the offseason.

If this is what you were referring to, then ignore this. :)

So throwing in a no pads minicamp, he hasn't done better in other camps? I'm guessing because he can't be touched by the defense, he is way more comfortable.

Romo can't be touched by the defense in practice with or without pads.

Every year, Romo goes to the drawing board to improve his mechanics and reads.

He's been excited the last year or so about the improvement he's gained from more hip torque and a higher release point. The result is a even better looking ball.

The extra year of specialized core strength work for his back...something most QB don't do a ton of....has helped his velocity as well. I guess if the back issues had any silver lining, that would be it.

Last year, he could barely throw a ball more than 20 yards in early training camp.

Well I guess it's all about about the precision of the thorw then without the pressure up front. The cb-s-lb vs the wr-te.

They simulate timing with or without pads on. Parcells wound stand behind the QB and scream out 1, 2, 3.. you're done. I don't know exactly how they do it now, but they don't just give Romo 20 seconds to stand back there and look for receivers because they can't hit him.
