I want to see the Cowboys cut Weeden outright to send a message. Sign a real FB that can block.

Cut one of the underperforming WRs and bring back AJ Jenkins. He is big and is a threat on the outside imo. He can run block well.

Start Christine Michael and give him 22 carries a game.

Play defense and smash mouth power run football with play action, screens, and pick plays mixed in.

Get creative on offense.

No reason this team can't go win 2 or 3 games before Romo gets back.

I don't care what he fantasizes as long as there are no more than two losses before the return of Tony Romo.

So his answer is to do with a guy whose only been on the roster 5 mins what they didn't do with Weeden whose been on the roster for two years.

Changing QB's is not something you take lightly. It has huge ramifications throughout the team not only in game planning but also the physch of the team. You have to think about the what ifs like if you put Cassel in and he's no better than Weeden or maybe even worse. Or what if Cassel does great then gets injured and you have to go back to Weeden. Talking about losing the team. That's exactly what would happen. Having said all that with the bye week coming and giving the team 2 weeks to prepare Cassel I'd make the change. It's a gamble and I understand the risk and am glad I don't have to make that decision.

LOL you think these coaches can make adjustments and use deception and creativity in their offensive strategy? its sounds great and would probably work but thats too logical. this team is all about being stubborn, vanilla and execution. execution, execution, execution, players beating their man with talent. you want to get all creative now and actually make adjustments that make sense? HAHAHAH this guy. who's he kidding? does he really know the Cowboys? come on dude. *** outta here.

If Cassel can see the field and work thru his progressions AND have the confidence to throw the ball into a reasonable NFL window then yeah, you'll see this offense start to run much better. In fact they should be able to stay with many teams including NYG.

These are not starting QB's. If Cassel isn't better than so what. Have to try something. If he can't do it then finally try Moore. Season will probably be lost by then anyhow. I don't see how you lose the team with backups. Neither of these QBs are any good. I don't understand the Romo comparison. Parcells was thinking of making Romo the starter. Neither of these two have a long term future here.

This organization can't be scared of the thought of possibly having to go back to Weeden. I mean goodness.

I keep hearing about this Losing the Team .... don't you think if we keep SUCKING with Weeden that will happen? You put Cassel in you're sending the message you're willing to try something ELSE to WIN. And if that backfires, you hold on till November bc the team knows they're getting their leader back.

Dallas Cowboys radio analyst Babe Laufenberg answered questions Monday after Sunday's 30-3 loss to the New England Patriots.

What else could spark the Cowboys offense?

They are just going to have to do everything just a little bit better. Run block. Run the ball. Receivers have to get open. And offensive coordinator Scott Linehan is going to have to get creative. This offense, not unlike other offenses, is based upon finding the one-on-one matchups. When your outside receivers can't win those matchups, you are going to struggle. I don't care if you have Tom Brady as your QB. So it is time to get creative. Try to manufacture yards though deception. They have limited firepower on offense right now.

Even Babe gets this.

I don't understand why it would take this long.

Use Escobar as the one who rubs on routes and set others up since we aren't giving him meaningful snaps. Use his size for this.

The Romo stituation isn't the same thing we're going through now. That change was a handing of the franchise torch, this is just a changed assignment for the next 5 weeks.

It isn't some thing that should be taken lightly and I'm sure it isn't being taken that way. But you look at what is going on during games and you have to be saying to your self we can't do better than this? If they signed a QB any worse than Weeden then we about deserve what's coming. He's that bad.

right. They are backups. Weeden doesnt "have" the team. So he cant "lose" it...........

I dont think we lose anything by benching Weeden. Not a single thing. If Cassell sucks, hey Weeden get back in there.... He wont miss a beat. There will be no shock to the team or Weedens confidence......

I would cut Weeden right now..... He just isnt very good.

He may very well have done exacctly what the coaches wanted and played a script perfectly...Guess what, it doesnt win NFL games. Its too easy for NFL Defensive coordinators to gameplan.

I've heard a lot of crazy talk but losing the team because of Brandon Weeden is laughable. This team should have upgraded it's backup QB position but the team's in denial. they don't think Romo will ever get hurt. Should have replaced Weeden after last year. He cost us that Arizona game.

Can't go back?? For one why would they want to. And secondly these are backups. You can do whatever you want. Look at Houston, they can't figure it out who they want to play.

Babe is a goon. He said Romo was done last year.

It depends on if the players think Cassell is the better player or not. Maybe the plan all along was to get to the bye with Weeden then make a switch. Who knows.

Babe probably wants to continue to pump up Weeden because he wants at least one Dallas Cowboy qb that is worse than him.
