I'm ok with being stuck with Cassell, if anything we will get a chance to evaluate our backup receivers. I'd like to see more of Butler when he's back in the lineup.
Changing QB's is not something you take lightly. It has huge ramifications throughout the team not only in game planning but also the physch of the team. You have to think about the what ifs like if you put Cassel in and he's no better than Weeden or maybe even worse. Or what if Cassel does great then gets injured and you have to go back to Weeden. Talking about losing the team. That's exactly what would happen. Having said all that with the bye week coming and giving the team 2 weeks to prepare Cassel I'd make the change. It's a gamble and I understand the risk and am glad I don't have to make that decision.
It would be different if the Cowboys would have won a game or two. I didn't expect them to beat the Patriots but the others were winnable.
I want to see the Cowboys cut Weeden outright to send a message. Sign a real FB that can block.
Cut one of the underperforming WRs and bring back AJ Jenkins. He is big and is a threat on the outside imo. He can run block well.
Start Christine Michael and give him 22 carries a game.
Play defense and smash mouth power run football with play action, screens, and pick plays mixed in.
Get creative on offense.
No reason this team can't go win 2 or 3 games before Romo gets back.
I do know this: when I asked Bill Parcells why he waited so long to insert Tony Romo as his starting quarterback, his answer was, "Once I made the change, I knew I wasn't going back." So if the change is made to Cassel, they have to stick with him until Romo returns. You can't go back.
I guess when Romo is healthy we shouldn't play him because if he gets hurt again, Garrett would lose the team.
The only memory I have of Babe is around 90 or 91{?} and all we had do was win one game to sneak in the playoffs. The place was Atlanta Fulton county stadium and babe was pretty bad. Almost Weeden bad.

Babe probably wants to continue to pump up Weeden because he wants at least one Dallas Cowboy qb that is worse than him.

One terrible quarterback doesn't wanna place blame on another terrible quarterback. Shocking.
