Silly me I assumed and I was wrong.

I assumed that only two wannabes would be left for next week's final show. That's not how it is going to work. Five players - three defensive backs and two wide receivers - remain going into tonight's penultimate show. Only one gets cut leaving us a final four for the finale.

Remaining are defensive backs (In alphabetical order) Eddie Moten, Ahmaad Smith and Moses Washington as well as wide receivers Andrew Hawkins and Jesse Holley.

There is no guest star this go round and the episode is chock full of drills, including one involving tennis balls and catching a football that forced fingertip catches.

I'll just say this (and some may consider it a spoiler so you'll have to turn the page to see):

I think it will be fairly obvious to anyone who has watched the show as to who will go. During the show, host Michael Irvin has this to say after a drill. "Four of you during that drill, you had the right attitude. And then there's (name of wannabe). I saw a quitter."

You don't have to be a football Einstein to know what that means.

Its a crime that McGann is not one of the final 4. Heck, none of the DBs deserve to be there either.

I love it when Hawkins slapped him in the helmet

Hawkins is a beast; he is fast, has moves, and is surprisingly physical...He may not be big enough for WR but he sure is a good player.

Rumor is that Hawk signed with a CFL team, which is a joke because he is clearly the best athlete on the field.

The "too small" moniker is an absolute joke. Either you can play or you cant, and Hawkins can play

Hawkins signed with the Montreal Alouettes back in October, before the show. I agree that Hawkins is clearly the best, followed by Holley.

I love Irvin, but I think his bias for big WRs will screw the Cowboys of the best player on that show.

Matchbox should have won this thing WEEKS ago, it has never been close.

agreed. Hawkins is th best player bar none. How Washington made it this far is beyond me. he is USELESS. McGann should have been given the chance to come back after he torched ALL the DB's in that red/blue game two weeks ago.

Hawkins is clearly the class of this show...

Whether or not he can make it in the NFL remains to be seen...

I hope he can as it is good for us if he does...

The DB's are just fodder at this point... none of them have a chance to make it in the NFL... they are around to make things dramatic...

If Hawkins doesn't win I'll be shocked

Love or hate Irvin, he started working out in April in his back yard in full pads every year...

We need that type of player...

Some of these clowns don't get it...

The sad thing is that these guys can't speak proper English...

Do we really need subtitles?

Do we really need zoomed-in shots of their mouths??? I'm not a freakin' dentist, I don't need to see if they have cavities.

I totally agree. As little as I've watched the show, I get the feeling Irvin is biased toward someone who reminds him of himself.
