Well first they did a drill where you had to run 10 yards and beat a blocker ( 4 times) and then tackle the dummy. Quickest time wins...

Moten had a 21 sec for the best. Hawkins hit 22, and 23 seconds.

Moses didnt even finish one time b/c he was already over one minute, and the next time was like 55 seconds.

He was so tired Michael Irvin asked "Is it your hamstring or your pride?" to which Mowash squeaked out "both Michael"

Hawkins, Holley, Smith punished him. Holley blocked him for 11 seconds straight, Hawkins not only drove him back, but drove him about 7 yards out of bounds and pancaked him, and smith finished him off by pancaking him out of nowhere.

It was great.

I don't get this idea that Hawkins is the best. So far, Holley has been the most consistent every week, and is the only player to not have a horrible drill, or have to puke his guts out because he's out of shape. Hawkins is quicker, but Holley is bigger, stronger, and more consistent.

Holley had a big problem in college of dropping passes. So far he has been shown dropping 3-5 passes per episode on average. He really struggled in the finger trip drill, while Hawkins blew by his Db's and still made the catch.Hawkins route running in that drill was amazing.

Holley is slower than Hawkins, and has less heart. Irvin even said it numerous times last night "the smallest athlete out there is the biggest competitor" he shred blocks, evaded blockers, blew by db's, caught passes, won the punt return drill. What more could you ask?

All the while Holley was simply just consistantly better then the rest of the scrubs. Hawkins is simply better in every sense of the word than Holley. It's been apparent since the first episode.

So do you take the small, quick, speed wr that we don't have on the team?
Or the slower, less quick, big wr with questionable hands?

Why would Holley add any value to the team? We have a plethora of Wr's just like him.

Hawkins however would be a nice gain for training camp due to our Division having: D.Jackson, S.Moss, A.Randle El, S.Smith and a few other short fast wr's.

Hawkins or Holley probably have little chance to make the team, but at least Hawkins can give our team a shift returner to practice against, and a small speed demon for our young db's to work on. Especially as we will see those little blazers twice a year.

Thus, Hawkins>Holley.

For that reason I think he would be the best person for the cowboys to sign, and if he makes the team, be on the practice squad.

Dallas has it's preferences of Tall WRs. It would be nice to see a smaller shifty WR if just for the practice squad. Now that in no way means I am comparing Hawkins abilities to being on par with Jackson, Smith or Moss. Just the idea that he is more like them in stature and shifty abilities and would give the defense a better or closer comparison to play against compared to the normal WRs they covet.

It's going to be really funny if we're all shocked and Smith wins because of some stupid drill that he's the only one that doesnt get hurt, trip, get held, or have balls thrown over his head.

This would absolutely be horrible...

Moten has talent, but he has been disappointing the last two weeks. It just seems like he has no passion.

Also, for having smaller hands, Hawkins sure did catch much better than "big hands" Holley.

One more thing...I don't understand how Smith got 21 seconds in the first trial of the blocking drill. Hawkins got through his blockers so much faster than him but was still 23 seconds. Something messed up about the timing there...

For those that missed the episode, you can watch it online here:

I think Smith and Washington gave no effort against Moten and that helped a ton.

Precisely. You pretty much nailed how I feel about it.

In next week's preview they show Jerry handing a #16 jersey to the winner which confirms that it is a WR.

I think if they do this show again next year, they should:

1) Do it a few weeks earlier so the winner can attend OTA's.

2) Maybe only let 6 of the players be guys off the street. The other 6 should be guys we have all heard of that maybe messed up their first shot in the NFL. Guys like Mike Williams (not that I'd want him, but players like him that we all know), Jeremy Bloom, Danny Amendola, Larry Brackins, Dallas Baker, Dustin Fox, Antonio Perkins, and Hostile's guy Brandon Everage.

That is interesting... If I read their website correctly, they've already played two games this year, and he has zero stats. So maybe he did win?

that's what i am saying ....he doesn't even have a number ob the team....
i'll take hawk in the slot in a heartbeat......

don't know maybe there are two spots opened.....we can grab holley as well....
wouldn't that be a real twist....holley and hawkins make it.....
