New England will be the likely landing spot... I reported this a while back.

'reported it'?

Who do you work for?

I'm sure the same 20 teams that were fighting for TO are after Ellis. In the end he'll do like TO and select the least likely team we think. the Lions or maybe the Rams perhaps.

What if the Giants signed him for a vet's minimum just to spite us?!

Money talks with this clown. I think whoever offers the highest wage or a contender if money is very close. He is a fading one trick poney and I am not worried wherever he goes.

Besides his mouth, I will miss his professionalism and production. Good luck Greg and thanks.

Just stay the hell out of Philly.

They dont need another pass rusher, especially one who spent his entire career in Big D

Why haven't you heard Ellis sucks? :laugh2:

That makes sense to.

Whatever team signs him had better have a starting job to hand him, that's all I have to say. Either that or overpay so he keeps quiet.

The Saints might make sense since both of their ends might start the season suspended, but eventually Ellis would have to take a reduced role and wouldn't be a "starter". The Patriots would be a good fit because they really don't have a top of the line 3-4 OLB who could threaten his security. The Bengals should be perfect. He and Roy Williams can flop around the field together. It would be just like old times.

He's going to Florida or Ohio and he's signing a one year deal in the neighborhood of three million dollars and a five million signing bonus.

No way.

You just made the assumption that they can always get quality production out of aging players, especially LBers. Far from reporting. Even though that's how its typically done in Dallas.

So if im looking at this right, and I like to think I am, Flozell('98) has been here longer than anyone else on the current roster followed by Gurode('02).

Review games from last year. Most were garbage time cleanup sacks. He had sacks in Philly & NY wins, but he was ineffective most of the time.

That is correct. It is kind of frightening that there is a four season gap between our two oldest tenured Cowboys. It goes to show you how bad the drafting was during that period.

Thanks, Mr Half-Empty. I think it's cool that our second-longest tenured guy is from the '02 class. Think how good we must be drafting these days to justify cutting all that older talent?
