I'm sure everyones list would look a bit different, but in no particular order the consensus top 5 are:

Antoine Cason
Dominique Rodgers Cromartie
Mike Jenkins
Leodis McKelvin
Aqib Talib

In no particular order, I would agree.

I wonder if Mayock is still pimping Flowers after his horrible 40.

Talib should be, he performed very well at the combine which could move him up, but there is a good chance he will be there. DRC will probably be away early, after that it's just a case of what other teams need CB's.

I would say that DRC, Jenkins and Leodis will all be gone by #22. Talib and Cason might be there @ 22 but neither may be around by #28.

And his presence will not count against the team's quota of 30 in-house visits with draft-eligible players.

Why is there a quota? Just wondering...

NFL rules only allow 30 prospects not from the local area to work out. Its probably to keep some guys from making 32 different trips, but it doesn't seem like most teams even use all 30 slots.

That is exactly my assessment.

Yep, looks like "the big three" will be gone and we get the "best of the rest" if we don't move up. Personally, I'm for moving up 6-8 spots for one of those "big three". Then again, Jenkins attitude issues may knock him down.

Pretty much the same names, I'd just move DRC to #1 and Talib to #2.

I gotta disagree. Talib isn't the #2 corner in this draft. In fact, I think where the guy above has his is more realistic.

I think its so the prospects can make the rounds. If you let every team go with as many players as they want. No doubt that some of the guys won't get to certain teams and will probably get burnt out after a while.

Albert Breer

Kansas CB Aqib Talib, a Richardson Berkner product, will visit the Cowboys facility in mid-April, joining UNLV LB Beau Bell and Arizona CB Antoine Cason as those set to come to Valley Ranch.

Talib's case is a little different than those of the other two. Because he's a local product, the team is allowed to conduct a workout with him at Valley Ranch, something the Cowboys can't do with out-of-area prospects. And his presence will not count against the team's quota of 30 in-house visits with draft-eligible players.

Here's a list of some other kids who would be eligible under said exemption ...
Houston RB Anthony Alridge (Denton)
Oklahoma TE Joe Jon Finley (Arlington)
Cal RB Justin Forsett (Arlington Grace Prep)
Kansas DT James McClinton (Garland Lakeview)
Texas DT Frank Okam (Lake Highlands)
Colorado CB Terrence Wheatley (Plano East)

The talent this area produces is ridiculous and I love the rule that allows us to host local guys:)

That rule really screws some teams.

I would imagine it's to keep top prospects from working out with teams they have no chance of going to. I mean, how much chances do the Skins have of getting mcfadden? Probably none, so it keeps the teams from working out unrealistic prospects just for the sake of it. I bet that teams work out a lot more guys than we hear about. I imagine they work out everyone that they want to target for the first three rounds. We just only hear about the blue chips.

I like Talib. I'm still not sure why so many are down on him, to each their own I suppose, but I like him. I most certainly wouldn't be upset, at all, about having him.

I do too.

People get their favorites and refuse to think about any other option. It happens all the time to all of us. I was so hung up on Mike Williams that I dissed Braylon Edwards at every turn. Taught me one hell of a lesson.

This team needs corners desperately. I'll take Talib, Cason, I really don't care. I haven't seen much of Cason, but his 40 time seemed to be the only concern and it looks like he ran pretty well. Either one of these guys would help I think, first round or not.

I was pretty big on Mike as well. He looked like he should have been pretty good. But I did like Edwards a lot so I didn't go quite as far as dissing him. :)

I just noticed from the link theogt posted that Mayock now has Flowers as #5...

1. McKelvin
2. Talib
3. Jenkins
4. Cromartie
5. Flowers

Pretty interesting. No Cason at all, and Talib #2?

And Cromartie at #4. If that's right, we might really have a shot at him.

Maybe most intriguing of all is Talib #2 when a lot of people are calling to make a safety out of him.
