I can. Believe what you want, but prepare to be disappointed since there is no indication the Cowboys were unhappy with Colombo's play.

In fact, they praised him as the leader of the line before reinserting him in the offense in the playoffs.

I think Free has a better chance of replacing Adams at left tackle based on Flo's age and some obvious drop in his play, but unless Adams is cut/traded/hurt, he will be the starter.

Remember when we lost a couple of games due to the deep snapper and Jerry went out and paid Jeff Robinson $1.6M/yr to long snap. I think he was that pissed off about the OL play that someone probably has to lose their job - maybe even two or three somebodies if possible. He's not going to say anything until the replacements are on the roster and TC/pre-season transpire.

I'd really love to trade Colombo for practically anything. He has been "exposed" and the moment we put him back on the field every team will be scheming to get a speed rusher out there against him and force a 1-on-1 matchup over and over again until Romo starts breaking down just like he did against the Vikings. Not every team will be able to do it as well as the Vikings but everyone will try. In our own division both the Giants and Skins both have good edge rushers to put out there against him.

12 false starts in last 48 games.

I love Jason Witten, but for a TE who's not even flinching early because he's trying to get an early jump on speed rushers this is unacceptable.

Surely he makes up for it by being a great TE, but still he's got to stop.

Yeah, it gets pretty annoying. And he's had a few combination movement penalties in a game.

And that's why Jerry came back and raved about how the Vikings' home-field advantage helped them get a jump on our offense?

So Colombo losing his matchup in the playoffs while trying to tough it out injured "exposed" him? Nevermind his play the rest of the season when he handled pretty much every end he faced. That's the reason he won't be replaced.

There should have been no "toughing it out" here because Free was playing good and the team was on a roll. If he was toughing it out, he shouldn''t be trusted again because there was no need for him to do it and he put his QB in jeopardy by letting Edwards (and Parker in the game before) go around him like a pylon.

Either he was fine and was terrible or he was lying and putting his teammates' health in jeopardy. Edwards absolutely planted Romo into the turf on a couple of those speed rushes where Colombo didn't get a hand on him (that was before Flo went out of the game).

If Free doesn't get a serious opportunity to compete for either tackle job it will be a travesty and disservice to the team. If it's a true competition I fully expect him to beat out Colombo.

Witten was a damn penalty machine down the stretch - almost all of them being false starts. He needs to get his head in the game. He didn't used to make these mistakes when he was younger.

Barber never says anything. Besides, Barber is mostly suffering from overabuse rather than recovery from any one particular injury, IMO.

I think we'll see Barber get a bit worse every year. This may be his last year on the team.

Considering that Colombo was injured enough to miss a significant amount of regular season games, it's fairly easy to conclude that he was not being truthful about how recovered he actually was before returning to the starting lineup.

My problem is that you're not a baseball player playing some non-contact sport. Your teammate is a sitting duck right behind you. If you're not 100% ready to come back you can expose your teammates to injury risk because you want to contribute to the playoff run. Your replacement was playing fine so there was no need to rush anything here.

There was one play that made me cringe - right after Romo threw a pass, Edwards picked him up and drove him right down into the astroturf. I personally thought it was roughing the passer but it wasn't called. It's not just your *** on the line out there - if you can't protect your QB you shouldn't be out there pretending that you're fine.

It's easiest for me to think of this from a doctor's perspective. If I'm injured and loaded up on drugs, I shouldn't be making complex medical decisions and doing procedures - it isn't fair to my patient who I'm exposing to injury even if my intentions are good.
