Paul P has been a college head coach. I doubt he wanted to go back to being a DC in college. I am pretty shocked Grantham left for that gig.

I prefer Todd. :( I like Paul, but I think Todd is far better option. Which is probably why Georgia (worst state on the planet) hired him rather than Paul.

Eat a peach.

Come on. We all know the worst state on the planet is Pennsylvania.

Why not? More money, college kids that are a lot easier to deal with than grown men making several times more than what you make, and if you do a good job you can always be on someone's short list for another NFL job if you want to return to the league.

Jersey and (just to be fair to you Yankees) Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi say "Hello"

Would have been more with 2-3 rings on his finger.

The opportunity is not guaranteed to be there. He is getting paid a king's ransom as an coordinator. Imo, that is offer that he couldn't refuse.

Ok. I thought you lived in all of the places that you were disparaging. Tsk, tsk.

No, but I've spent time in all of them. eeeeeeyuck.

Love the move. When he was fired the other day, I was wondering if there was any way we could squeeze him onto our staff. I don't like him as a potential defensive coordinator candidate or a guy to move up the ladder, but I think he's proven to be a pretty darn good position coach in previous capacities here.

I betcha the people probably thought the same away about you. Good people typically make good places, not the other way around.

In the football world that is true. If you look at American History and what each state has done and stood for. Georgia is far and away the armpit of America. All states have their good and bad past, but nothing compared to Georgia.

Of course you are not satisfied.

 I get a snide remark because I prefer the better coach? Good job adbutcher.

FAIL

Great move by Dallas!
The only reservation I have about Pasqualoni is his background with the defensive line specifically. He was a former LBer at Penn State and has been pretty much a LB-orientated position coach unless I am missing something.

Wade Phillips on Todd Grantham, Paul Pasqualoni

Wade Phillips talked about the departure of Todd Grantham to be Georgia's defensive coordinator and the return of Paul Pasqualoni to be Grantham's successor.

On Grantham:

"It's been great having Todd," Phillips said. "He's contributed a tremendous amount to the defense. He's grossly overqualified to be a defensive line coach. I knew he would be a coordinator pretty quickly or even a head coach. I think he's got all those qualities. We really appreciate what he's done and he'll finish up strong here."

Phillips said he mentioned Pasqualoni's availability to Jerry Jones early in Thursday's practice and by the end of the workout Jones had the deal done.

"I mean he gets things done," Phillips said of the owner and GM.

Pasqualoni returns to the Cowboys where he coached tight ends in 2005 and linebackers in 2006-07. He spent the last two years as Miami's defensive coordinator.

"We know what kind of coach he is," Phillips said. "Anytime somebody does a really good job if you have a chance to get him again you take that opportunity. Similar to Dave Campo. Everybody knew he was a great coach. We had a chance to get him again and we did."

Not to mention by acting quickly, the Cowboys took Pasqualoni away from the New York Giants. He had talked with Tom Coughlin on Monday and Tuesday about joining the Giants staff.

I wonder if Pasqualoni is actually our back-up plan for LB coach. Herring just interviewed for the DC job at Okie St, and it seems that he's been looking to head back to the college ranks.

This just might be a precursor to another move, but at least it keeps somewhat of a continuity on defense if we lose two defensive coaches.
