Jones: Cowboys not looking for a Wide Receiver 1/23/2010 2:19:33 PM
Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports what are the Cowboys biggest draft needs? At the top of the list is offensive line. And even if the Cowboys won last week, it would still be offensive line. It's always offensive line.
Then kicker and safety.
And you would think wide receiver, too, right? Not to Jerry Jones. "We've got some receivers, enough where if I left the draft without a receiver, I'd sleep like a baby," the owner and general manager said Thursday.
We know about his crush on Kevin Ogletree. You saw Miles Austin explode in 2009. You know Roy Williams, despite the low production, will be back. And Patrick Crayton is dependable and has scored 16 touchdowns the last three seasons. Sam Hurd has had moments too.
But Jones also mentioned practice squadders Jesse Holley, who won an invite to camp from Michael Irvin's reality show, and Manny Johnson, a seventh round pick, as players that could push the guys next year.
