Checking in from Standridge Stadium where the Cowboys are practicing ...

Safety Gerald Sensabaugh is practicing for the first time since breaking his right thumb against Denver. He is wearing a cast to protect his thumb and will wear it during the game.

Felix Jones is also practicing. There was some question about his availability because of the wet playing surface and his sprained knee.

Roy Williams is also practicing and will play Sunday. Linebacker Curtis Johnson is back to practice to after missing time with a hamstring injury.

Felix Jones continues to practice, continues to improve, but stops short of saying he'll definitley be able to play Sunday against Atlanta.

"It's still there (pain in knee) a little bit, but if feels a lot better,'' Jones said after Wednesday's practice. "One day at a time is all I can do.''

Jones hasn't played since Week 3 against Carolina. If he does go against the Falcons, he said the brace he's wearing on his knee won't be a problem. How close is he to 100 percent?

"I'm getting there,'' Jones said. "That's all I can go by right now.''

Starting strong safety Gerald Sensabaugh said that he was able to do all the drills in practice Wednesday and participate fully. He said he expects to play Sunday against Atlanta.

Sensabaugh missed the Kansas City game after breaking his right thumb at Denver on Oct. 4. He had surgery the next day. He had the same injury in college and only missed one game as well.

"It didn't really hurt in practice today and it felt pretty good and I tried to rough some guys up a little bit and it went well," Sensabaugh said. "No pain."

Sensabaugh said that he had an X-ray on his right thumb Tuesday when he visited his doctor and "it was positive. No setbacks." He had a hard cast placed on his right arm and he practiced with that Wednesday.

Sensabaugh said, however, that his current cast will be removed and replaced by a "similar cast" that will be smaller to play with against Atlanta.

"It will be a hard cast, but they will have to pad it up where it should be soft," Sensabaugh said. "It shouldn't be this big, but we'll have to see. It wasn't a problem today."

I like that Sensabaugh is going to play. We're going to need him. And what's the story on Curtis Johnson? HAs he played any games this season?
