I'm confused.

When some idiot named T.O. "just tells it like it is" we rejoice because he's speaking his mind. But when Jason Witten says the politically correct thing, he's being a professional?

Even I who has stuck up for Owens while he was in Dallas can see a major difference. Witten basically wants nothing to do with the situation and really didn't want to even talk about it, but the media is going to keep asking him so he spoke, nipped it in the bud and got thru with it.

Owens on the other hand would have kept the incident going. He probably would have made a decent point, but kept the incident going and thus the attention starts to revolve around him even if he didn't ask for it because the media just can't get enough of him. One big difference in favor of Owens is that he often throughout his career played better when opponents mocked him or called him out. Of course, I don't know many opponents that have mocked Witten or called him out so he really hasn't had the chance to bury it down their throats like Owens did.

Witten said what he thought and moved on from the subject, TO on the other hand will keep the story going because he will not let it go.

I'm addressing those who take the position I outlined. Some guys celebrated T.O. when he spoke the truth, but when Witten gives some PR answer (not saying he doesn't believe it) then he gets a bunch of pats on the back.

Actually, I agree with how Witten handled it and condemn the way T.O. handle such issues.
