Uhhhh, you might want to go back and revisit last year's draft... seems to me they hit on better than 83 per cent of those picks... only their last pick failed to make the 53 man roster, and even Erik Walden quickly landed with another team, so really, they found NFL players with each and every pick...

True, SB, they did do that last year.

But the odds of doing that are very difficult on a consistent basis. Not impossible, but very difficult, IMO at least.

Looking back over the past 5 drafts or so, taking a larger sampling period (instead of only 1 draft), the percentages are lower - as anyone would expect.

And that's not just for the Cowboys, but for any NFL team. You just don't hit 80% on a consistent basis.

Is it impossible? Of course not. Is it probable? I don't think so.

That said, with 11 picks to hit on 7-8 players is around a 63% success rate (as I mentioned in my original post). That's more doable, but still a challenge.

Witten is a damn good player, okay so I'll give you Witten. But Romo makes 2 plays, then screws up 3 times. I'm sure if you ask the math genius in Garrett, that would equate to a negative over all day.

Romo is a play-killer at this point, but he could get better if he received better coaching. Where is Todd Haley?

You got that right some of these posters have too much invested in the cult of personality. This team has plenty of talent but has failed to play consistently as a team.

I like what Jerry Jones has done this off season and I am am far from a JJ cheerleader.
