Are you serious? No we will not be fine. so whos our #3 WR now? i don't even know. This is a dumb move by JJ if hes gonna use the logic, that he does not wan't anybody that has not worked with romo. Guy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. as a matter a fact i don't even think PC is a real #2 WR.
It's not even week 1 yet...

you're acting as if TO and Crayton will be coming down with injuries in the next 10 days as well...

He isnt a 2 he is a 3 filling Glenns void.

For monetary reasons and good business since, Dallas shouldn't add another receiver.. especially if it's a veteran receiver for the time being.. until after the first game of the season anyways. Thus, they would be a week from having 3 receivers come back. It's just not worth it unless you are getting a superstar receiver that will replace TO in a year or two.

So your telling me that your fine with PC? i still don't trust the guy. look what he did in last years playoffs. the only real WR we have on this team is T.O period.

So are you worried about our receiver situation because of the injuries to Miles, Hurd, and Stanback? Or are you worried because of Crayton's question mark as a bonafide #2 opposite of TO? If you are worried because of the latter, then we are fundamentally discussing two completely different topics.

Mike Holmgran thinks you rock.

Duhh, lately I have two minds, one is lost and the other is looking for it. I will stop rushing my replies and not get ahead of myself. Thanks for pointing out the Julius Jones faux pas. I meant Felix Jones, just got befuddled with same last name association.

If Owens goes down, what available receiver will replace his productivity within this offense?

Answer: no one.

If Crayton goes down, Miles Austin and Sam Hurd's combined can replace Crayton's output when they're healthy.

What everyone must understand that
  • you have offensive options which are already on the roster.
  • you can't plug in just anyone in an offense and expect certain results
  • injuries which are not season ending are just that, not season ending so there is no reason to panic
It's not about eggs. It's about not messing up the receipe for success with the wrong ingredients.

Exactly, it's like people around here forgot about the Peerless Price experiment. And what about Quincy Morgan? Having those guys come in proved to be a waste for both them and us. We will be much better off using players that have been here a while. At least they have been through a whole camp and could be plugged in if need be...

If we would have used Peerless it would have been fine. Parcells didn't want the guy. And Quincy was just a bum.
