Never said Jimmy did it all himself:

Jerry made atrocious decisions during the late 90s to early 00s, trying to prolong the career of the trios (although Michael Irvin's injury decimated the best SB contender we had post-Jimmy) and bringing Lacewell on board, but he's seemingly turned that part around when he hired Parcells and instilled his scouting and philosophy into the organization. Now, he has to work on getting good coaches because I think that is the problem right now.
Jerry made atrocious decisions because he doesn't know how to evaluate talent and his right hand man at that time, Lacewell, apparently didn't know who to either. And because Jerry tends to fall in love with a player and overpay for him time and time again. And because Jerry's ego was so big and he hated that Jimmy got credit for the Super Bowls he spent years and and years hiring weaker, controllable head coaches and controlling their staffs until it led to those 5-11 seasons and he finally yelled "uncle" and hired Parcells to try and fix the mess. But once Parcells left after getting us back into playoff contention, Jerry has since gone back to hiring a soft HC, controlling much of the staff hires and doing many of the same things that led to those 5-11 seasons.
Give it time, if he continues on this path, we will be back to 5-11 or worse. Yet you want us to believe he was instrumental in the building of a three time Super Bowl winner. riiiiiiiiight. :laugh2:
