I can't speak for him but I will point out that he didn't call him a failure but noted he had some failures. I think Jason had a problem getting the offense to score as prolifically as it gained yards. This is a failure.

Like I've said, there are alot of factors, some of which are beyond his control.

If he had a several year track record of the offense not being able to move the ball or score, you and some others might have a legit beef. But the fact that he was the OC and called all the plays for our team in 2007, when we had the 2nd most pts in the franchise's history for a 16 games schedule, kinda defeats some of the argument. Romo set a franchise record for tds passing that season too.

It definitely needs improvement, but its not the trainwreck some of you try to make it out to be.

Don't understand why he catches an attitude anytime someone questions critical playcalling. Of course our offense produced, we have enough weapons to produce under any quality offensive coach. I find it more troubling that he is satisfied with our playcalling in big game situations against quality defenses. Because come playoff time, thats who were gonna face. Just scares me becaus so far has been stubborn with his playcalling and i dont see an offseason ephipany occuring.

So the Philly games werent big games against a quality defense? Was the New Orleans game a big game?

If i remember correctly in the new orleans game our offense slowed down towards the end and our defense kept us ahead?

Philly was beat at all aspects in both of those games. Did you drink the kool aid the last month?

How bout the San Deigo ? Would the first eagles game have been as important if we won that one?

I thought at the time that the Denver game was big for us as well.

Am i allowed to go against your almighty opinion? or should i just bow down and agree with you that i trust him wholeheartedly in pressure situations?

Guess your right and im wrong?

Why would i question 4300 REGULAR SEASON yards right?

We did blowout the raiders though your right. Masterful playcalling.

Maybe the 250 yard game to miles against the Chiefs that gave you so much hope.

Where was the offense at in Green Bay? Against that masterful defense that held the Cardinals to under 55 points.

Just because someone would prefer another coach for the offense, they must be out of touch, not watch football, knee jerk reaction, bandwagon, know nothing fans? If thats not the case sorry, but thats how you have come off in other threads.

It's amazing how Jerry Jones can ride a young player like Bennet and continues to make excuses for a veteran like Roy Williams becuase he overpaid for him. He should have been saying that Roy Williams needs to get to bussiness.

Bennett was largely a non-factor in his second year, catching 15 passes for 159 yards and no touchdowns after having a tremendous training camp. However, he had two catches in the divisional loss to Minnesota.
He had 3 catches for 27 yards.

Perhaps failure is too strong a word. You happy?

I still see an offense close to the top in yards and unplayoff worthy in points. I see an offense that completely broke down when it was all said and done.

Explain to me how that's not "on" the guy ultimately responsible for the offense?

Even so, I don't understand why he and Romo cannot seem to get on the same page after a season and a half together.

Its crazy how good Romo is with Witten, Austin, Crayton, but turns into an 'undrafted FA' when throwing to Roy.

I want this to turn out well, so hopefully they spend a lot of the off time working out the kinks. But, it was my understanding they did that this past offseason and it didnt seem to help much :(

Good Lord, Roy Williams is stealing Jerry's money in broad daylight. I wonder if Roy wears a ski mask to pick up his game check on Tuesdays???

This idea that Roy is going to turn into a stud is just wishful thinking, it hasnt happened in almost two seasons so why would it suddenly happen now???

Roy has 1 more season and then he is released or traded next offseason in my opinion.

Awesome! This has got to be the most promising thing I've read about offensive coaching all season. Finally there is indication that Wade Phillips will intervene in the Roy Williams fiasco that Jason Garrett has miserably failed to cultivate and utilize over hte last two seasons.

What we don't know are the conditions that Wade and Jerry talked about that predicated Wade's signing his extension. I'm hoping Wade said something like "I'll do this Jerry but I need more control of the Offense" and Jerry said something like "yes, it's clear to me now that you absolutely need to get involved Wade".

I'm hoping that's where quotes like the one above are coming from.

Pure comedy gold.

The Op is interesting for a variety of reasons, but dang Jerry needs to learn how to speak. Was that diatribe English?

So 361 pts is not even playoff worthy?

We scored 40 offensive tds this yr. We won the Super Bowl in 1993 and scored 38 offensive tds. Most people considered our 1993 team to be a superb team overall and a great team offensively.

The Stealers scored 347 pts and won the Super Bowl last year.

The Giants scored 373 pts and won the Super Bowl in 2007.

Stealers scored 389 in 2005 and won the Super Bowl.

New England won the Super Bowl in 2003 with 348 pts.

Tampa had 346 in 2002 and won it all.

New England in 2001 had 371 pts and won it all.

Baltimore scored 333 in 2000 and won it all.

Actually, Martellus Bennett was having a good game against the Vikings at the beginning of the game.

Unfortunately, the Offensive Line couldn't get it together and that put an end to everything.

Bennett is always good when nobody even tries to cover him.

No doubt next season is going to be a crical year for Bennett much like this season was a critical year for Spencer who was entering his 3rd season. Bennett showed allot of promise coming out of camp but did not bring his game into the reg season this next season all eyes will be on Bennett and he needs to step it up
